During the BCA Expo some people went out to celebrate Shane's birthday at the Rio buffet. It just so happens one of those people was Mika. After dinner they got around talking about what many of us have been talking about for awhile. A match.

Will they play? Who will win?

Check out the video and tell me what you think.

9 or 10ball

9 or 10 ball? Would definitely like to see it happen.

Great post and video. Two warriors, no fear, that my friend is why we love this game. I would like to see more clips like this, with discussions between players. Excellent job.

That really is an excellent video... and I hope it happens. That will probably be my first TAR PPV. :) Maybe the DVD too... :)

Cool impromptu vid.

How did this come about - meaning who initiated the challenge? Shane, or a
6'5" instigator?

This match would be tough to handicap, but if on neutral ground, I'm thinking Shane is slightly favored, perhaps 6:5, because of the format to 100. I sure hope it goes down, this is surely @ the best players (non-pinoy) matching up anyone could ask for right now. Best of fortune bringing it to fruition Justin. Git er dun!

you know, I find it interesting that Mika responded 100-90 because Shanes break IMO is about a 10% advantage in this matchup....as far as runout ability....its a toss up.

Though it would never happen, How bout a neutral blind breaker......breaker doesn't know who they are breaking for. Now THAT.....would be as equal as it gets. My money would stay in my pocket.

As far as who to bet on?....wel I have to go back to the "always bet on the Pinoy" so, Mika is as close to a Pinoy in this matchup right?.....he has business there. Then there is my other betting law....NEVER bet against SVB.....so I'm torn

well the only thing that would stop it from happenening would be mika backing out because as anybody who knows anything about pool knows shane will play anybody for anything...as far as who wins my money will be on shane and hes going to win by at least 30 ive never heard of mika playing any long races and shane is used to it and i just dont think mika can keep up

can someone put down subtitles? I didnt understand the first part..

Let me know if it happens in NYC, I'd pay to watch it in person

I like Mika in this one. There is probably know one on the planet right now that wants to win as much as this guy does. With all his championship titles and experience, I like Mika.

Mika trains for pool like an athlete, maybe harder than Shane does. Mika will have no problem with the length of the race.

Only thing I see factoring in here as an advantage to anyone is Shane's break.
