Here is a video I found... You'll see some interesting things in the video.. Feel free to discuss.
What I found they are doing to flatten the frame top don't go as planned...as soon as that center slate they did not marry true...
Wow! What a fancy level:eek:.

Three times with a factory router to get a flat frame... then the installer uses sandpaper scraps under the slate.

How about that cushion glue.....ever remove the a.e. Schmidt cushion...?the last set that I removed had that resin glue that everyone hates to deal with when removing cushions..
It now looks like they are using yellow wood glue....

19:20.... Cheaper tables don't use staples. They use glue on cheap tables to fasten the cloth. Where's RKC?

I saw that, just goes to show what the manufacturers know.....which is nothing, it's all about sales. What they didn't explain in that video....is why all their cushions turn rock hard and have to be replaced....LOL

I'll bet many of the past generations are rolling in their graves over this and the current generation cringed when they saw the finished product.

Their shop isn't a 10th of what it was on Sidney Street. IMO its unfortunate they moved away from commercial tables. Its also unfortunate they don't show much of their history on their website.

Miss going into the Sidney St. shop. Lots of history in there. Hopefully its not lost.

Diamond tables require the cloth be glued down instead of stapled when installing the bed cloth.....does that mean their tables are cheaply made?

Do they require the cloth to be glued to the playing surface like cheap bar boxes ?
You guys misunderstood the narrator, I think.

Funny thing is, in over 30 + years of working on pool tables.....I've never ran into a pool table that was designed to have the whole cloth glued down, and the only time I HAVE ran into a situation like that....was because of the hack that did the work last....not because of the design of the pool table;)

Not even wood play surface Sears tables?
