I have found that the best cure is to have a cue smith, like me, shave off a little of the unthreaded part (to the first thread)) of the QC/QR joint to the diameter of a standard 5/16 X 18 pin. This should be relatively inexpensive to shave, sand, and polish. This way it will work in any standard 5/16 X 18 or 5/16 X 18 QC/QR shaft. For more info, visit
