Didn't do well in high school, but did pretty well in college. Over the next few days you will see the number of top level players that agree with me. Stay tuned to Az.
 
Question Mike: Is Viking Cues still pumping like it was $100,000.00/year in the Tour, or has that DEAL Ended?

Of course a top level player will want more open tournaments... they can clean up. But us small fish can only donate so much before we have our own tournaments.

Im a C player. Sure, ill gamble with an open player to help my game, but I also like to play people my own speed too because.... sometimes, I like to win too.

I for one am done donating in open events that I have no chance in. There are enough tournaments to go around for everyone. You better be careful this could backlash on you. I for one have already lost some respect for you. Imagine if all the amateur players stopped playing in the open events that you participate in. Your intentions seem as if you want to have some control or say so in whats happening. Well the facts are that you don't. Let it go man.

As a point of FACT: The Viking Tour has increased the amount of monies to our open events by holding more events, giving away free tour card events and such. At the same time we have also increased the number of Amateur events and the added monies to them.

I did not mean to insult your avatar, as I do not know who was the lady is, I thought the Avatar of you that was a Photo of you Playing Pool, used for a few day was a better Avatar IMHO.:wink:

So is Viking cue still contribution 100K/Year + The Money you recently announced from the Energy Drink Company? That was what ?
 
First I would like to say that I met Mike and his wife and they are both very nice people and did a good job running the Viking event in Memphis. My personal experience there was awesome....

I heard several of the local players complaining about the payout in the amateur event. I did not personally do the math, but they were saying that the money did not add up correctly. There was $500 added but they were saying that almost $400 was taken out of the entry fee.

Again, I did not do the math. It was more about entertainment for me and seeing some old friends. I was way too tired to play anyway.

I do not know which event you are referring to but I suggest you do the Math before you post hearsay.

The results from all events can be found on AZ.

The flyers for the events can be found on www.viking9balltour.com

and all the information regarding each event and the results are listed in full detail.

It should also be noted that when we raised the Open events to $1,500 this was based on the Amateur tour participation because the monies raised from the extra event help to fund the Open division. It was a lot easier to do it that way then to pass the full amount onto the room owners. Also, because this monetary feeding system allowed both tours to grow we were able to lower the fees by $500 per event to the room owners while at the same time adding $1,000 total more each weekend on the combined events. I am not questioning you Mike. Just telling you that alot of local players there thought the money was wrong. They are pool players and would have probably complained even if you added $5000. I don't care one way or another. I work 60 hours a week and pool is just something I do for fun.
