Viper cues are better than custom cues...

Something I just learned this morning from a friend that wants to sell me his 3K7, as he said he is getting a 5K8 or something like that (I don't know Predator very well....), but this is a few snippets from an IM conversation just moments ago, and I had to share....

well, I was going to post a few lines, but the discussion got rather humorous...

Wow, thats how i feel when i argue with people about why i dislike predators. Its insane, its like you couldnt get your point across if you drilled it into their head. Funny read, good post :)

Oh well. I dont know how well yur friend plays and stuff so im not gonna comment on that.

From my experiance though (and im sure some sneaky pete users can relate), a lot of beginners think good looks equal more expensive and that in turn equals a great cue. More than once ive had other kids ask my why i bought such a "plain cheap looking cue" when i could have bought a *insert name of cheap cue with fancy overlay here* instead. I then just roll my eyes and say "i just couldnt afford such an expensive cue" and if possible just walk away.
 
That's the way it is in my pool room. If somebody comes in with a
Viking or Cuetec or McDermott they all want to check it out and ooh & ahh.
Whenever I bring in my Mottey, Bender, Scruggs or Kikel , they
say not bad looking cues but we never heard of them.

In my pool room:
1. Cuetec
2. Players
3. Marlboro ( Viper)
4.Meucci
6. Mcdermott
They've heard Predator is the best. I've offered to sell
them a fairly new Predator SPU with Z shafts for $280 but they're
too tight. I did sell my best of line Quest with 2 shafts, 1 with
a Moori tip, for $135 but it took me 2 months to get the final
$125. When I offered them a plain jane Jerry Rauenzahn for $210,
they looked at me like I was nuts.

whoa there, hero.... you need to back that bus on up!!!! you BARELY beat me, and it was only because I was trying to show you my appreciation for your gracious hospitality!!!!

well, that and you made all the traps I laid out.....
 
:p I've tried many cues and played with all that is out there and I would have to say that that is fact......Viper makes an outstanding cue and Mr. Viper is very underrated as a cuemaker. HE builds the highest quality cues with the most original designs. Not even Richard Black thought of a design with a set of floating pool balls on the butt. Now that's innovative. :D :D :D

What's this guys name that you were talking to online? I think we are kin.....:p
