Hello Everyone,
I have finally decided to produce another batch of the vise grip cloth stretchers. We have already ordered the 8R frames and will begin the run this week. As you all know, this is a limited run item and once they are gone they are gone. PM me if you want to be added to the list. Even though the cost of the components have increased, the price will be the same as the last run, $75 plus shipping. It should take us about 10 working days to finish them. Thanks, Kerry

I sent you a PM, but disregard.
Put me down for 2 and Gordon down for 2 as well.

How would you like payment?

I'm not a mechanic but I play one at my pool hall.
I bought one of these a two years ago and I want to say that these things are Grrrrreat!

Oh yeah Kerry, about November I'll be contacting you about 11 sets of Ridgebacks for 7-foot Valleys.

Cloth Stretcher Update

Hello All,
I am getting close to shipping this batch of stretchers. Here are a few pictures of this run of tools.

It is basically the same tool as last time but with some changes in the way I fabricated them.

This time the aluminum jaw plates are machined so that they align with each other and with the 8R tool more precisely. This also allows me to change out the jaws if needed as they are all machined identically.

By looking closely at the above picture, you can see that the front of the bite is slightly tighter. This is because I changed the angle of the 8R jaw plate and thus the way the tool grips the fabric. Now you can grip just the edge of the cloth if needed and still get a good hold on it.

I also had a website electrode engraved on the front jaw in anticipation that this website will be up and running soon.
Thanks, Kerry

Tool

Looks like he just used a grinder to flush off the fastener, and reinforced at the jaw with a weld.
I like what your doing to make installing cloth easyier on the hands... Its a good tool!
It keeps getting better.
Thanks'

I could easily TIG weld that and it would look beautiful, but I do not think it would have any effect what so ever on how the tool functions. And nobody hates MIG welding more than me, I rarely use my MIG just because of my hate for MIG welding, but I would not invest in a TIG machine just to build these vise grips.
