pooltableproCP said:Vitalie has always been great as far as furniture goes. Milled frames, walnut on all the rail caps, solid carved quality woods. The only issue has been playability. To my knowledge, they are still using chinese cushions. For the $$$ that they demand for the tables, I would think that Artemis or Accu-fast would be more in line.
Kito said:Just curious. Does Olhausen sell their Accu-fast cushions as an oem part to their competitors? Many people go with Olhausen because of their cushions....
Because when other manufactures decide to make their rails 1 1/2" thick instead of 1 3/4" which is the normal for almost all tables, the K66/K55 rail cushions won't work, that leaves only the Accu-fast profile cushion rubber to build the rails with...and, Olhausen makes money selling the cushion rubber to these manufactures.Kito said:I knew Olhausen sells Accu-fast as an aftermarket product. I can't see why they would sell their proprietary design cushions to a competitor as a factory installed option.

Just because someone puts Accu-fast cushion rubber on a table other than an Olhausen, it still don't make it an Olhausen table. Whether they sell their cushion rubber to someone else or not, that has no effect on the reputation of the Olhausen tables, and therefore will have no effect on their sales. People are always going to buy what it is they have decided to buy, and I have yet to see someone buy a table based only on the cushion rubber on the rails...as most buyers wouldn't know the first thing about cushion rubber in the first place...they buy because they like what they see first, any other reason is secondary.Kito said:I guess if I ever hear about a slump in Olhausen's table sales I will know why. I can understand them wanting to make money selling their cushions but it's got to effect their table sales.
