Voluntary 5% to AZB.

Another note to the Mods or owner of this forum, you're obviously monitoring this thread and you've posted here before. Seeing how things have become it's only fair you step in now as you're already involved by posting and acknowledging John's gesture. You could either move this thread to where you deem right and please the complainers or write something to support the gesture and set this thread in the right direction again. Otherwise I think it's just not very fair for John at this point being attacked for helping the forum.

Whether a pre-emptive 5% cream-off is a cynical attempt to curry favour with the site's owners, the very minute advertisers of new items are to be banned.

Of course, the people are equally free to decide it's a magnanimous gesture and should be encouraged by all. I suspect they would, and I know I do. But it's your hissy-fits I object to, I think.

Why not add a Sponcer's section? Business's can sign up as sponcers (pay the fee) and they can sell and/or advertise their wares only in the Sponcer's forum. Keep the classified section for casual users with a 3 ad limit at one time. Might help keep a item on the front page for more then 30 seconds...

If you really knew me then you know that the last thing I do is "curry favor" or as we say in the USA "kiss ass". Impending change is a call to action. I and others have long said we would pay for listings and we will within reason. This was a spur of the moment impulse decision on my part not some premeditated move to kiss-ass. Financially it's not going to be much anyway as I have never sold a lot of stuff through this section and I don't intend to spam it now just to raise funds for AZB at 5% per sale.

I said I planned to put up about 2k in cases, which would be about 4 cases but I probably won't make that. Even if I do and if they sell that's only $100 to the kitty.

I don't need the public's opinion on this. It's not needed or wanted which is what you don't get. Regardless of the motivation it's not negative in any way. The status quo is that people who do this commerically post ads and sell and azb gets no money from that but apparently somehow is getting legal grief.

Well, it's long been my way to pay my own way and I pay for my spot to sell and pay percentages when I sell on Ebay. I recognize the value of a marketplace when I see it. This thread is between myself, the other sellers, and the site's owners. Your commentary is not needed or wanted.

However, being that it is public you can interject your opinion combined with your trolling comments. Tact dictates that you shouldn't but you know that already.

Going to keep a running total in this post. Then I can send AZ one payment instead of a bunch of smaller ones.

First Sale: $150 - $7.50 to AZB
Second Sale $160 - $8 to AZB (case sold wholesale to a dealer but as promised 5% of the retail price to AZ)
Third Sale - $450 - $22.50 to AZB
