I have to say my vote for Dick to be inducted into the 1 Pocket Hall of Fame is a bit biased as he is my friend but I dont think it is against the rules to campaign alittle for my old boy,he probably will be pissed about me doing this but I am anyway. :D

The reasons I ask that you vote for Dick is simple,he was one of the best one pocket players in his day,playing with guys like Ronnie Allen and Jack Breit Aka Jersey Red among his other nicknames along with many other of the top one hole specialist.Dick still mixes it up and bets it up too,I personally was there to watch Dick play for 25 hours a few months ago,and at any age that is strong especially betting high.Dick behind the scenes is very giving to the sport which he loves so much.He has helped to make things happen without seeking recognition which says alot about the man and his character,I am glad to call him a friend.

10 years ago Dick was not in his prime but was able to play and beat some of the best still,including Cliff Joyner among others.I would like to hear from some of the other people out there who can give us some stories and tales of San Jose Dick. :)

NICE photo!!!!!!

Just got back from Phx....If I would have remembered, I would have stopped by. Had to drive up to purchase a new camera...killer deal! Too good to pass up.

Went to the site...filled out the stuff, and waiting for an e mail to activate. Then I can vote....he has my vote for sure. Hopefully I'll be there when he is elected to take some photos.

Hey Rick I need a new camera,a Sony VX1000 or 2000,too bad I am broke with the new baby on the way. :sorry:

I think you are well within the "what is right" by campaining for SJD and I feel he is very worthy of this.

I was never near the player Dick was, but spent many years on the road and his name would come up wherever you went. I never heard a bad sroty about him either and that in itself is remarkable as almost everyone had a bad tale or tow about them in those days.

I doubt Dick remembers, but way back in the early 70's Dick handed me my ass in a place called The Family Fun Center in Denver. It was on 38th and Sheridan and was a pretty fair action place with no really great players, but a lot of pretty good players. I was young and learning, but quite anxious to try anything.

Dick came in and got knocked real fast by Marty Kaman {Omaha Fats} who by then was a real character. I ignored it and jumped on Dick pretty fast, but as they say, I got thrown just about as quickly.

He has my vote and I'll vote for Charlie as well. {Dick will know what that means}

I believe (and I may be wrong) that you must be a Memember of www.onepocket.org for a certain period of time before being allowed to vote. I 'think' that it is 6 months (but I may be wrong).

This stipulation prevents people from simply signing up there to Vote.
