Does anybody know what this device is that he is using to slide up and down his cue when he is breaking? Has anybody ever tried one of these for breaking? Thanks for any reply's Louie

People over here on AZ calls it a break sleeve, not sure what's it call in your country.
I have been using it recently, it's sort of like wearing a glove but it's worn on your shaft instead. Kinda like using it when i am not wearing glove to play.

Too bad Earl wasn't at the tournament, he might have found a new gadget to try out.

My question about Wang Can is how much of his cash Communist China lets him keep when he returns home.

Actually if its an individual event and he wasn't representing the country or sponsored by the country in anyway then the cash is all his. He'll be like any Chinese making a living outside china. Nothing to do with communist china.

If he's a Chinese citizen he'll pay an Income Tax anywhere from 3 to 45 percent of his earned income, less deductions, according to Mr. Google. :)

I'm pretty sure Earl has used the condom sleeve. I'm pretty sure Earl has used just about everything but a baseball bat and a ouija board to gain an edge (in his own mind). Can't blame a guy for trying.

KK9 <-- not sure what Wang holds onto. To an extent, China has its own selective rules depending on the wind direction.

anyone got a picture of what it looks like?

It's simply a fabric, tubular sleeve employed to reduce friction. Think of those Chinese finger traps. Make one out of something like silk and shrink it. It slides over the shaft like skates on ice.

Income tax is pretty much applicable in any country and China's personal income tax isn't the highest by any standards. Also his prize money is won outside of china so technically he doesn't need to be taxed for that winning as it wasn't won/earned on Chinese soil.

Like the recent 9ball competition that Lee Van won in China, he can only collect the amount after it has been tax deducted in china. However he technically doesn't need to pay taxes for the money in his homeland anymore since its been taxed before.

I guess it's the same as winning the lottery in the states or any country. You can only collect the post tax amount and the money belongs to you in your account and sits there that any money you have. You can bring it anywhere you want in the world.
