I applaud the changes to the Wanted/For Sale Forum announced on the AZB Website. It will be nice to look through a smaller list, without all of the lower end cues/accessories clogging it up.

Really has nothing to do with lower end accessories.... It's the people (Sellers and Re Sellers) using AZB for their own personal store front selling new items like its a retail website. Bottom line Cue makers and Re Sellers should have their own dedicated section with different rules governing each.

Where else can you have such a dedicated fantastic pool to sell to, and not pay a cent on each sale (with the exception of paying a club membership)??? Try that on Ebay

I think its total BS that you cant sell new cues on this site anymore. You can only sell used cues??? So what are people going to start lying and saying the cue was used and then the value goes down. Its a total crock if you ask me.

All comments should really be in one place.

This is something that is being thought over and our input does factor in.

as far as cues are concerned, it would be nice if they add a Search Engine if someone is looking for a particular cue...

While I agree that you'll see a slew of new cues being listed as "98% condition" or "like new" or "near mint", etc. etc., I don't necessarily think its bull-sh*t.

The plain truth is there are a SLEW of cuemakers who only have a business because they peddle everything they've ever built in the AZ Wanted/For Sale section. And like it or not, these guys can and have been effectively hurting the cue market. Its true.

And on top of that, there are a slew of guys who go out there, post a 'new personal player' in the Cue Gallery one day, then post it up for sale 2 days later. Why? Because they had every intention of cashing in on it all along.

While the new change to the for sale section is likely going the first of a few changes, make no mistake about it: the Wanted/For Sale section is filled with crap these days like 10 threads from the same guy selling 10 different items, bumping each once a day, having friends bump the same threads 4 hours later, tons of "I can't believe this is still here" posts, and cuemakers you've never heard of selling brand new cues for prices that established and respected cuemakers who have been grinding it out for years are asking. Because on AZ with its 34,000 members, its easy to 'make a name' for yourself and build up a fanbase.

The bumping is the worst part. Add to that, some never participate in any of the threads on the forum. They have no interest in being a member of the community, it is just a free place to peddle their stuff. It never fails, anytime someone tries to start something good, someone will find a way to abuse it and ruin it for everyone.

I think its awesome. As a business owner myself I think its BS what some people have been able to get away with here without (financially) supporting the very place who have made their "business" possible at all.

Next I'd like to see the main forum cleaned up just as well. Too many who only post in here simply to advertise, not to mention constantly bumping thier own threads with the random "thanks" or other trivial response everytime it hits the back pages.

Go AZB !

I guess theres always Jimbos army where you can buy new cues from cuemakers whenever you want. there will always be a place, i really only ever seen a problem with dealers posting 30 threads at a time and taking up the whole front page over and over other than that ive never seen a issue.

having anomosity towards people selling a "new" cue i dont really believe is warented.

alot of buyers will lose out as well tho, i mean alot of people like seeing new cues hit the market and having a chance to be the first to own/see that cue.

And before i get flamed or something for being a maker in no way am i trying to defend myself on here ive listed a cue of my own maybe two-three times on here, 99% of all my bussiness is local, and i like it like that.
