Wanted: Looking for a AZ'er who has wholesale access to supplies!!

I have a small pro-shop in Largo Florida, i need to pickup some items, but I cant Nick Varner company. I want to find a supplier that is for dealers only and the prices are refelctive of this. I want to find a supplier that the general public cant buy from unless they have a pool or billiard business license.

why cant you set up a account with nick varners company? when i did it, i dont remember any special requirements other then a tax id number...

Mike if you own a small pro-shop why don't you get a business license and start buying wholesale yourself? I am sorry if that sounds a little ruff, but do you have any idea what it costs in over head alone to have the right to buy wholesale. This is one of the problems in this business, people who do not have a business license are getting items near wholesale cost and selling them for just a little over what they paid. Because they don't have any over head, and in most cases they are not even paying sales tax for the items they sell they can afford to do this.

However, it ends up screwing others who do have all these extra costs in that persons general area of operation. It is also a big problem on eBay, legitimate sellers can not compete with other sellers because again they are not paying tax's and they have no over head, along with the fact that they do not have to follow the rules set up by wholesalers.

So Mike I am sorry, but if you don't have a license you need to get one.

I do have a Business License thru the State of Florida
I have a Occupational License thru the City of Largo
I have a Brick and Motar location,
I have a State Tax-Id
I have Balloon Business insurance
I have all the overhead that any other legally organized and operated business would have,

So, what is your point??

My question was, there are very few company other than like, Nick Varners' company, that will only deal to billiard businesses that have a business license and Tax-id.

My question is, what other true, whoesale-dealer only companies can I deal with or find that will offer true
--JOBBER prices with a real retail price, that a business owner purchases the product at the Jobber or Jobber-Plus figure and wont sell product to a retail customer unless they pay retail prices?

What are the companies that offer a true wholesale price and offer it only to businesses that provide documentation.

This is what I am looking for, because I cant sell a lot of the product I get for a profit unless i mark it above what other people can go onto the internet and without a license can get the same product for the same price as I pay!!!

This is why most of my products are used or vintage items, every one is unique in its own way, age, rarity, condition, etc. So, I dont have to deal with customers coming in and saying, sell me this 314-2 predator shaft for, $189.99 because I found a site on the internet that I can this shaft for this amount, or give me a better price or I wont buy from you!!

Problem is is that I cant find a wholesaler that will sell this product to me for less and still make any profit!!

What is the answer and where are the companies I can buy from??

Why don't you just do a little research yourself instead of expecting everyone on AZ to do your leg work for you.

You ask a lot of questions and don't participate on AZ much beyond that.

Now, you have to ask yourself, if I had the answers to your questions, why would I give up my contacts to you, so you could compete with me?

In other words, quit expecting to be spoon fed around here and get to work. If you can't figure it out for yourself, you don't deserve to be in business.

If we followed your beautiful (sarcastic!!) advise, would we even have a information sharing site like this? If what you said is true, why ask a question? Is everyone too lazy to research and find out the answer to a question? As anyone can see, I have done research and have come up with the company that I had found and I havent found any other? If I thought the way you did, I wouldn't have shared the info about Nickvarner.com site (I am sharing knowledge and infomation about a site that someone else might not have research, so if I followed your self-centered, all for myself approach toward life and business) no one would know that you could go to that website and get reduced prices as a wholesale only website, which is rare.

So, you go on going through life only doing things for yourself, or sharing your knowledge if someone pays you for it.

And, I and so many others that are on this web-site will go on sharing information and helping each other out, like good human beings should!!

When I had my cue sales and supplies business I was supplied by cuestix and Greg at billiards warehouse mostly with a few other direct manufacturers that I was a dealer for. They all only require a tax ID, business name and address to give you true wholesale prices which the public can not get. The manufacturer connections gave great prices usually better than the wholesalers can offer but required initial investments to be supplied directly by them.

You are probably getting these negative replies because of your past history. For months you plastered the f/s section with 20+ threads at a time, twice a day. You did this even after countless members, members you are once again seeking advice from, asked you to show some respect and consolidate your threads. You replied, oh well, it' s not a rule. Well it is a rule now, in part thanks to you. So I wouldn't be surprised people aren't rushing to help you. AZers have terrific memories.

Absolutely not. If you knew me you'd know that I am the complete opposite.
One of the things that my wife said that attracted her to me was my ability to strike up a conversation with anybody anywhere and totally non judgmental.

It did sound a bit harsh. I had my reasons. When a person continually asks questions in the Cue Maker forum, previously clogged up the Sale forum for weeks without considering other sellers in the least and doesn't participate
or add anything in any of the other forums, well, thats the answer he got from me.
