I build and sell a CNC machine that will turn all of these items, shafts, butts, handles, forearm. In fact you can turn cut material as short as 12.5" up to 31", for shafts and butts.
It sells for $3,250.00 plus shipping. If your interested in holding on to your cash, we offer lease financing.
It comes with a lap top, programs loaded, for all parts listed above.

I have you seen this machine work?jkmarshall_cues said:Here is another option GScues sells that requires your table saw. You probably can make a deal with Gene Sirca on the price. He had one listed a while ago on eBay.

I don't see the micrometer adjustment.
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!rhncue said:Probably doesn't have one. Chances are you adjust the depth of cut by raising and lowering the table saw blade.

I agree it looks like it only cuts cone tapers.Cue Crazy said:I noticed that also, and was trying to figure it out. You Can buy those micrometers easy enough, but I don't see a pivot point on that unit, so probably be useless anyway, unless It was modified. I aggree, It does look as if It is controlled by raising & lowering the blade, unless I'm just not seeing something correctly. One of these days I'm going to build minealong with the 500 or so other projects

That's pretty crappy for $1000-1500.jkmarshall_cues said:It doesn't have a micrometer, and yes you use your saw blade as the adjustment for cutting depth. I suggest askiing Gene Sirca these questions directly. I am not the one who built this device. It has potential. Maybe it needs refinement, but the idea works. When turning many blanks down .050 at a time it works fine. It slides back and forth in the slot of your table saw geared by a slow running motor. You must drill and mount where you bolt down the taller part that is the pivot point on your table top. It has several adjustments for setting up type of taper with sliding shims.
Do you have another way of setting up a table saw cutting fixture with better adjustments and micrometer??? I would be interested, very interested. (<: Can you share pics so I know what I need to do to modify this one?? johnkmarshall@comcast.net

OK, my bad.CamposCues said:Greg's machine is based off the one I have. The same guy made his first one and mine. It works really well. If he didn't change the design (and I don't think he did) it does pivot and it has a bar that hits the edge of the table for the second taper. Both tapers are adjustable with the simple turn of a screw. You don't have to monkey with the saw blade. For what I've seen some of the shaft cutting machines going for Greg's is a bargain.
