Sorry, couldn't resist.

Cue It Up clips or one of those 6 ladies. Hmmmmm....

I use my case.

As long as your cue goes in butt down. Sometimes your case will get knocked over by other careless people.

I use a slip padding for mines or the empty next to me if i have to rack...

People seem happy with Robin's Cue It Up Clip. I have had a Q Claw for years & it's never let me down. They're both about the same price.

I always take mine apart and put it away until the next game, I've had too many bad things happen and close calls.

I have the Porper. As far as I know, it's the only one that actually has a clip to secure the cue, and it has a clamp to lock the holder in place. This combination means that your cues don't get knocked down by accidental bumps, which could happen with some of the "open" designs like the Q-claw. I've been using mine for years; the clips don't mark the cues in any way. This design is probably the most secure one you'll find.

Research

I have had 4 different holders so I am almost an expert :-)

1.) The Clip: This was the first one that I bought... It works but was kinda cheesy.. just a chip clip with some indentions. I did not really care for it.

2.) Q-Claw: This is excellent because it is very heavy and stays put.. it really keeps your cues secure.. the biggest problem with the Q-Claw is the awkward size and weight in your case. It is heavy and could cause pocket damage after extended use.

3.) Moose: I had an awesome metal moose holder that was my favorite.. Problem is it was stolen and I have not replaced it because I refuse to pay another $100.

4.) Kamui Holder = Winner: This is what I am using now.. It has the same design as the Moose but is half the price. The Kamui hold the cues well, folds up nicely and is not too heavy. Here is a link to the Kamui Holder being sold on Ebay by a fellow AZ Member.

Hope this helps.
