:mad:Well, I have been putting this off for some time waiting to get the MO inquiry back. Looks like from the clerks stamp it was cashed on 11/25/09. I saw a post for JB Whimsy case posted for sale about mid November for 450.00 by dakaratestar. I sent him a pm stating that i would give him 425.00 if he would accept. He pm me back saying sure but could i send him a MO instead. I was kind of skeptical on sending a MO but i had done a lot of transaction with fellow azers with no problem. And he had 2 feedbacks of 100 so i decided to take the chance so i sent the 425.00 on 11/20/09. Communication was great until i pm'ed him saying that i had sent the MO then the communication stopped! I never received the JB Case of course and he would not respond to my pm's. but i knew he was online lurking because i would check the time he was online. I tried calling him with a # he gave me before i sent the money order and only got a answering machine and then a fax tone. I left a visitor message and it is still posted under his profile. still no response. Well later he posts up a Martinez for sale and i intervene on the post. and what was strange he posts the Martinez for exact amount he ripped me off. Ted(Cuesblues) also tried to have him respond to the post about the Martinez and he would not respond so i think he was trying to rip someone else off. I send him another pm stating i would take the Martinez instead of the JB to try to recoup something. Well a shocker he responds and says he will send the Martinez. But of course that didnt happen either.
It is an outrage and a disgrace for him to even have the privilege to log on to the az forum. I hope this will help someone from being ripped off by this guy supposedly his name is Leo Liu. But if you notice on the MO when it was cashed it doesnt look like that at all. I cant make it out. If someone has any helpful info on exposing the true identity of this guy please post or pm me.

This a tough one for me and I am trying to keep my cool in hopes that dakartestar AKA Leo Lui AKA whatever that signature says will step up and do the right thing.

If anyone in the AZ community has dealt with Jerry you know he's a stand up guy and doesn't deserve this from dakaratestar.
Jerry's comment on Leo's Ernie Martinez sale could of saved me or other unsuspecting AZ members a similar fate, and I thank Jerry for that one.
I've been involved ever since and even offered to buy the cue if Leo sent the cue instead of the case as originally agreed upon.
At least Jerry would of been compensated although I did tell Jerry he may like the cue and want to keep it.

Leo if you are reading this and I know you are, Jerry cannot afford to lose $425 like that and you need to take care this NOW.
There's still time to do the right thing and everything will be forgiven.
There are some very savvied AZer's when it comes to finding people and what goes around comes around.

I believe in Karma
If anyone out there knows this guy please do what you can to help.

Peace

Ted

First let me say I`m glad you posted this, letting everyone know what has happened.
Your looking out for other AZers that might deal with this person. The pic of the money order should help as well. I would think that sending him a US Postal money order was great on your part, but him cashing it would be ''mail fraud'' of some sort punishable by law. I think you could call this persons local police department and file charges against them. Hopefully there is another AZB member from the NJ area that knows this person & would PM you some personal info to help you out in this matter. I wish you the best & hope you get the case, cue or your money back. Thanks again for posting this.

We have many forum members that live near Old Bridge NJ. That is close to where Sandcastle Billiards is. The owner posts here as Sandman. Perhaps he knows the person.
Possible you can ask someone to stop by and see him.
He has commited Mail Fraud also. You might want to notify the Ol Bridge NJ Police department. Good Luck to you

Thanks Ted I really appreciate the support. I hate to see someone get ripped off especially in this economy with all the job losses etc. It may take a az'er couple months of saving just to purchase a nice custom case etc. and then for someone to take it away isnt right.

Go see your local Postmaster. File a complaint for mail fraud. The Postal Investigators are no jokes.

Call the police where the item was negotiated. File as fraud and/or possible forgery of signature. Where ever it was negotiated will probably have records on file and may possibly have video, if it was negotiated in a bank or post office.

Too bad ...

Hard to prosecute a worm for impersonating a human being. <-dakaratestar

JLRowe, I am hoping that you get made whole out of this deal. Clearly, you did just what a buyer is supposed to do; you paid. The seller has to give up the goods, in this case maybe a pound of flesh.

Do you have his phone #?

If you do contact his postmaster. He will inform him that it will be best to make you whole or he has the power to have him arrested. No questions asked. Fraud is bad postal fraud is inescapable.
Nick :)

........... I just went thru a situation with a guy in minnesota on a trade, he got me pretty good and he also is a member here. I talked to the State police and the prosecutor, you do have an option as i do. They called my situation internet theft. I've got time, im just waiting for him to show up. Good luck, good people don't deserve crap like this.

I was just made aware that on the back is his NJ drivers license # and expiration date. I wasnt sure thought it may just have been related to USPS. Thanks guys for the valuable info.

I'm wondering if that's his driver license number...

...or bank account number that's written below?...

The bank (or whoever cashed it) may have gotten some extra ID information from him. Maybe???

Good Luck JLRowe, I hope everything work out for you!

It was cashed at the post office. SOP is obtaining ID and writing down Driver Licence number above or below endorsement.

Im trying to figure out how it was made out to Leo Liu but the signature clearly is a diff name... D.. N.....

Hi,
With his DL number and the USPS on your side I think you've got him by the short ones. I did realize in his Itrader that he did a deal and delivered the item in person. (o is next to p on a keyboard) If you like...

I agree, this part burns me a bit, kind of like how useless not signing one's credit card or using "require ID" has become.

Look closely and you will see that the last letter of his first name is crossed over by the first letter, L , of his last name.

sorry for your trouble

this is the kind of post that i hate seeing...a fellow azer who is honest getting ripped off by some jack a$$....i have been really happy 99% of my dealings on az and almost all have deliverd exactly was they said...i am very sorry to here this and i hope things get resloved...one way or :bash:...keep the faith with azers most of us are really good people who just enjoy pool and pool related items....mickey carroll

We think we have his actual name, mothers address, business, pool hall, other family members names.
I can't take the credit for uncovering this information but we have a lot.
The next move is the police paying them a visit.
I'm sure the police will contact the USPS
This is no joke

David if you are lurking, you had better step up, this is moving quickly.
I doubt you want a family member getting a knock on the door by the cops or at your families place of business.
You have had 2-months to take care of this and you chose to rip off a nice guy that would never do this to anybody....shame on you!!!!
Start making an effort because this is going to get very ugly for you.

DAVID,

Get your mind right or this offering may fit based on where you'll end up and what hopefully may be in your future:

"DAVID and the giant went to bed

The giant rolled over and DAVID was dead":)
