Warrant of Arrests were issued today by the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City, Philippines for Mr. Yen Makabenta and Ernie Fajardo of the Billiard and Snooker Association, Inc. (BSAI) aka Billiard and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP). This is in relation with the libel case that Alex Pagulayan filed against the Chairman, Mr. F. "Yen" Makabenta, and the President, Mr. Ernesto Fajardo of the BSAI a National Sport Association of the Philippines.

As per gov't direction, his ladyfriend called him 65535 times a day.

Isnt getting an arrest warrant in the Phiilipines quite different than in the US? If i remember when Ronnie had that little problem wasnt he formally charged with something by a citizen which could never happen here?

he don't get to go past GO, nor collect the 200.00.

Straight to jail, is usually what an arrest warrant means, in any language.

You know Rick in some places in the good old U.S.A., you can be ARRESTED on a Warrant, and Released O.R. with out posting a Bail Bond.

You know what happen then the arrested party never show up in Court to face charge, and the process start again.

Also in the good old U.S.A. if you have a Warrant in One State, or another County and get stopped in another State, or County and the Warrant is found, many times you are set FREE in the State, or County because the Jurisdiction that Issued the WARRANT does not have the FUNDS to come, and bring you back to face judgment.

Maybe you should let bandido explain what happen in his country, and how their justice system works.

:boring2:

remember that kid was cained a whole bunch of years ago for graphitti...wasn't that in the phillipines? :kma:

Michael P. Fay was in Singapore, came back to the USA, and still was doing bad stuff. Some people never learn.

After that caining... a little jail time here would be like a Holiday I guess.

In the Philippines, power is very important. You get away with many things, but always be wary of people who feel power under their armpits.

Perhaps Makabenta snobbed a subpoena. Maybe he got confused that the dominant power under the armpits was his and not the judge's.

The foreigners that get into trouble here are either pedophiles or internet webcum operators. Otherwise, it's far more safe than the bad areas in the USA.

Unfortunately, there's nothing available on a google search to support this.

At least in English.

Maybe it's a summons?

now if could just get arrest warrants for JFORNEY, Southpaw, Scruggsinhand, Roland Garcia, Yuri_b17, Ironhead_79 et al...

It's ok to dream right?

I used to date an Italian girl that had rather powerful armpits (hairy too).

(I won't be here all week, but it will feel like I have been)

Below is the last paragraph of the Resolution. Since bail was set then respondents then need an Arrest Warrant issued against them before the trial is held. I would think that "just cause" for the Libel complaint has been determined and thus...

Wherefore, premises considered, it is hereby recommended that respondents Florentino P. Makabenta and Ernesto Fajardo be charged with the crime of Libel defined and penalized under Article 353 of the Revised Penal Code and let the attached information be filed with the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City. Bail recommended is P10,000.00 each.
