! Watch the incredible mm-Jumpshot !

FL.
There was a discussion on the billiard forum in Germany for some length of time on how close the object ball could be to the cue ball and still make a legal jumpshot.Dragon claimed he could do it with less than 1 MM. Many people didn't believe it was possible, so they made a short video to prove it could be done to all the non believers. He was not trying to preform a trickshot or steal your shot as you so claim. It was just a jumpshot nothing more and nothing less. As the DON stated in his previous, he just thought it was interesting enough shot to post here. Nothing more and nothing less!

Artistic pool? Same as rap music! You can't play the game so you try to invent some off the wall crap no player would be interested in.

Titanic Jerry

Badgering the rap music industy shows that you are a bigot and likely a racist, considering 99.9% of all rappers are minorities. This is funny because they had a special on vh1 awhile back about the different kinds of music, and it was a consensus among a lot of legendary musicians that any new type of music broadens music in general and makes it evolve into something better. They just had something called the grammy's, have you heard of them? I think that they are some kind of awards for music, and guess who won the highly touted album of the year? Oh jeez it was a rap group (outkast) wow the people who vote on these grammy's must not know much about music from what you said about rap, dang maybe you could start you're own award show pal?
And the same goes for pool with trick shots. I see a lot of people bad mouthing these guys, I think it's sad, not only are they making a market for trick shots, they are also helping to expose mainstream pool as well. They are trying to cleanse the greatly tarnished image that pool has, if you would read any of the things they have said then you would see that. Trick shot artists are great for the game of pool, they are helping it to evolve, give it another dimension, we all know that it needs any help that it can get.
Some of you guys on here must be lacking some kinda gratification in you're lives, why else would you have to come on here and badger larry. It really cracks me up to see him making fun of you, and every time it seems you guys are using the same bs to try and piss him off. Just because the guy disagrees with you, he's suppose to kiss you're ass? Give me a break. Keep bad mouthing him, it just shows that you have nothing better to do but try to tear down someone who is famous to boost you're own lack of a self esteem or self worth. And saying he can't play and that's why he does trick shots, now that's funny, if he couldn't play, then he couldn't do the trick shots in the first place. I personally would pay to see these any of these guys. I have heard stories about how good larry plays, not only with the trick shots but also with the normal games. I look forward to meeting tom rossman one of these days.

I began reading your post and started to give you some credit. Then I realized your absurdity. Your arguments toward the credibility of rap as a form of music, I whole-heartedly agree with, but using the Grammy's as a medium to measure music? The Grammy's, like many things in this world, is becoming controlled by industry moguls that are in it for the money. Then, you sanction bigotry and labeling an entire people, but you do it yourself, labeling anybody who wants to challenge what Larry has to say as lacking gratification or having low self-esteem. That's a pretty bold and gross generalization. I don't recall anybody telling Larry to kiss their ass. And, just because he disagrees with us, are we obligated to accept what he has to say? No, it goes both ways. Not many people have said that he couldn't play. Not many people have even brought up his actual "talent." People question his character. Now what's wrong with doing that?

Johnson, I agree with some of what you said but that crap
about being a bigot & racist for not liking rap is just crap.
My best friend was black- he died 2 months ago. I've always
had black friends;I'm respected in the black community;
I've had black lovers(women) ;&, overall, I can't stand
rap. Incidentally, my friend loved blues, bluegrass, classic
rock & country & hated rap. If you don't like George Jones,
are you prejudiced towards whites? According to your
way of thinking, you are.

I am black and I don't like rap music. So am I a bigot and a racist too? Please don't turn your self into the next Fast Larry by insulting others.

Funny, i was ironically being stereotypical, just like that guy was, so he can do it but i can't? And now I'm a total fool for doing what he did to make fun of him? True he may or may not be a racist, like i said i was being stereotypical to prove a point. He made a total ass of himself and i busted him out on it. You guys are older and will never accept rap as a form of music, i'll admit that 90% of it is trash, but if you take out that and listen to the ones that actually have some musical talent it is some really good music. To say that rap isn't really music, now that's a strong statement and you are totally wrong, bad music is still music lmao, last time i checked this was a pool forum.
I wanna hear how exactly someone who cannot play pool can go on the road and do trick shot exhibitions that's what this idiot stated, and think about it you are taking up for him, what does that make you? Must be the same kids buying the rap albums that are going to these trick shot shows? Yes im being stereotypical here again, just like he was, so i don't have to explain myself after u bad mouth me again in the next post. And i don't wanna hear how im an absurd idiot i want you to explain this, then you can call me an idiot, at least make a point instead of just trash talking, anyone with common sense can see that. sheesh

I was insulting titanic for what he said, if you say something that is totally retarded i will bust you out on it. I stooped to his level to make an example of him and it seemed to work. You don't like rap, but do u consider it music? This is apples and oranges but it's virtually the same principal, if you think that trick shot artists do not help the game of pool to evolve then you are retarded.
And as far as me being like larry, I can relate to him, yes he is a lil abrasive at times, BUT that doesn't mean you should sit here and badger him with nonsense just to pass the time, that's childish. I've heard first hand accounts about his pool playing abilities from a guy that i have respect for, as a pool player and a person.

Hi,
Fast Larry,
i never stole anybodys shot, because no shot belongs to anyone even not the one who first made it.
I never heard of you or any shot you made/invented before these days.
It´s about ten years ago someone told me he´s seen a guy doing a jump over ball just 1 inch away and the first time i heard it i hardly could believe it, so i decided to try it myself.
I tried it just with the shaft of my regular stick (ten years ago this was allowed) and after some practice time i finally made it.
Then i tried out how close i can get, to see my own limits (I don´t like limits in any way) and one day i made a jump over an object ball that was so close to the cueball that only a bill would fit between them.
That was all done with shaft of regular cue - there were no jumpcues, they came up later.
When the first jumpcues came up and i get one in my hands i tried the jump out again - it didn´t work the first time.
I did not accept that and practiced some time and finally i got it again.
From then on i didn´t practice the shot anymore, but every once in a while some comes up with a story how good he can jump i make my jump to show that there are nearly no limits on a pool table.
I make this "shot" with every jumpcue you give me on every table.
I dont´t make any money with this or try to upset someone like you.
I just do it for fun: it looks cool and makes a lot of noise, and i like a lot of noise even on a break in 9-ball.
I know there are better ways to break a rack and i can do them - i tried it out and they are better. But without noise on the break, i have less fun.
And fun is the only reason for all i do in pool.
I don´t want to become a world-trick-shot-champ or invent any knew shots.
I was not the one who made this video to go with it worldwide and if i have known who much anger it would spread around i wouldn´t have allowed to get filmed.
If you tell me this is no real shot - it´s o.k.
If you want a ball to get in a pocket on the shot - it´s just a question on the line-up of the balls i can also do that.
But if you tell me i do not know what i am doing - you don´t know me.
I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING.
The shot was no miscue - i have percantage average on this jump of 30%-50% depanding on the table, the balls and whose jumpcue i use.
On a tournament a few months ago the austrian distributor for Sladgehammer-Jump/Break-Cues heard of some guys that i can make jump that close (no "shot") and asked me to do it with a SH - it worked on the first try.
You mentioned Ralph Eckert - i see him from time to time in our pool hall.
The next time he get´s in i will show the jump to him, so he can tell you about it on the next trickshot-world-championchips.
So Larry, if you half the pro you say you are don´t waste so much time for nothing. It´s just a game - nothing more!
If a fly sits down on my shoulder and waves it´s head the way i do, i also dont care.................

Titanic's Swan Song

This is for Hondo, AJCU 612, Bazooka Joe,T411, Buddah Jones and Johnson:

I will not continue to participate in this forum.I had no idea that so much controversy would develop over a simple statement. Am i a bigot /racist.An emphatic no.

One of the earliest lessons i learned about pool was this.Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Dumps, double dumps, steers, double steers to name a couple are still prevalent in todays world.

I took umbrage when someone tells me he knows better than i what i witnessed.Ever see a guy call the 8 ball in the corner , hit it as hard as possible, two caroms, three banks, two more caroms and the ball falls into the designated pocket?
Was it a shot?
If i make a ball in one pocket or straight pool and someone says you got lucky!. I bet you can't make that shot again!!!!! My reply is always the same.
So what I don't have to.
Anyway I will close with this....I have met some of the greatest people in the world in pool rooms. And some of the worst.
Guarantee you one thing!!!!! When I go back to aplace I have not been to in a while everyone is glad to see me.
Do not I repeat do not let this Larry ruin pool for you.
And as a footnote if you ever bump into Byrne ask him when he found out a pool table was a rectangle , half as wide as it is long.
I'll give you a clue.........it was well after he was a published so-called expert.

Practice will get you where you want to be with your game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get so easily offended, you're not Larry, are you?...

My point was to bring to attention that you were doing the same thing--that you were chastising somebody for unfairly grouping others. It's hard to make a valid argument when you are being hypocritcial. That is all, nothing more, nothing less.

Auf Wiedersehen.

I only came back to let you know, from one Kraut to another Kraut, everything here is cool, Best wishes and my prayers for your futher sucess in pool. Sorry I was so mean to you, I guess I was not having a good day and the board picking on me made it worse.

I now retire once more to allow cue ball head to tell you all how much he knows. I am outta here, no kidding. I hope that makes a lot of people very happy. :D
