ok guys,what is some of the methods you all use to remove the heavy wax that some suppliers put on their woods. thanx in advance
 
I've got a big scraper from one of the big box stores with a carbide blade.
 
thanx fellows,done that scraping,just curious if there was something i was missing.

I run then through the jointer with about a 1/64 cut until the wood is clean.

Razor blade.
Leave the wax at the ends if they are still wet.
Unless you put them in a totally climate controlled room.
Sudden loss of moisture might crack them.

I also never clean the ends of wax, especially if the wood is not dry....

Put it in your bandsaw and push your fence over until the blade touches the outsize edge snugly. Then run the piece it through the saw with each side touching the blade. That will clean most of it off and allow the wood to breath.
