Rodney just told me that he had made a change in his game recently and he was finally playing the way he should be. Congrats Rodney, you deserve it. Peace, John.

No other pro made 9 ball look more easier than Rodney during this championship.Cue Ball travelled less distance in his hands.

Rude, I was at the edge of my seat last night refreshing Tony's website. What a win for the Rocket and a 3rd. place finish for Robb. Can't wait to see it on espn.

Congratulations to Rodney Morris. What a fantastic win!

When I saw him at Valley Forge, he seemed very happy, and how about that new hairdo!?

Also, a big round of applause and thanks should go out to UPA Touring Pro Tony Crosby for keeping the POOL PUBLIC up to date on the happenings in Las Vegas.

It is disappointing, to me at least, that the UPA organization doesn't have a PR man to provide updates on a more frequent basis to the pool media, to include AzBilliards website. I'm not sure how much Rodney won at this juncture, due to the lack of info, but I hope it was a nice chunk of change. If memory serves me right, this was a $20,000-added event. The only thing I am sure about is that Rodney came in first, Thorsten second, Rob Saez third, and Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant fourth.

I realize that at most high-profile tournaments, the TD's and other staff are busy bees, but publicity, especially to those of us who are diehard fans and do follow the tournament happenings on the Internet, is a good thing for the UPA organization as a whole, IMHO.

I think the change is carrying a pocket-fulla Bartram!

How true! :) I mean, when you're on a roll, you're on a roll. Chris had no business playing Rodney, much less EVEN, on any size table, IMHO. :o

Come to think of it, he was joking with me and my girlfriend that he shaved his head to get rid of his bad luck. Whatever it takes. Right?

1 st place- 10,000 $
2nd place 5000 $
3rd place 3000 $
usually I do not pay attention to these matters. This is what I remember.

``Bunny`` was there in charlie chaplinn dress & make up.He entertained the audiences with his jokes and also one or two practical jokes( with a red Rose).
At one point the whole place was silent and Scott Smith( TD)in microphone said ``Bunny any more jokes``?Bunny quickly replied `` you``
Crowd busted into laughter and scot said ``security ``get him out of here.

mr.sardo was racking the balls with sardo rack in espn matches.Charlie Bryant checked the rack and asked mr.sardo to rack them again because he felt that the two balls immediately below the one ball were not touching each other.Charlie made him do that in two different games.
One time Rob Saez called foul and said that charlie`s shirt touched an object ball. Charlie in a very stern voice told rob that it was not for him to call that foul and it had to be the Tournament Director.
Charlie Bryant entertained the audience with his one liners.
There were exchanges of jokes between ``Bunny`` and charlie Bryant and ofcourse ``Bunny`` out did him.

Congrats to Rodney!!!

Yeah, congrats! Rodney hasn't been on TV too much, so this will be a treat when it's aired on ESPN. He is a very smooth, natural player and great shotmaker -- and very charismatic, too. I heard that when it's aired, our local star Mike Davis (who also hasn't had much TV time thus far) will be doing some shot demonstrations before commercial breaks.

Chris has no business playing Rodney on a bar table?!?!?! Then why did it take Rodney over 8 hours to beat him? It's not like Rodney stole the money! That game will happen again, I'm sure....

Hi, Saw. :) Chris Bartrum is a bar table machine, no question about it. As an aside, several years ago, he spotted Keith McCready and Liljon the 8 on the bar box, Chris against the two of them, for a nice chunk of change, and it was over in minutes. Bartrum's almighty break was the determining factor.

But IMHO, playing Rodney on any table is a tough feat, especially the way Rodney has been hitting 'em the past 3 years or more.

I was not present for the match between Rodney and Chris. However, IMHO, it just might have taken 8 hours because they engaged in a 15-ahead set, at least that is what I was told. For any player to climb 15 games ahead, it may take a little while, huh?

As far as Rodney "stole the money," those are your words, not mine, but if they were to do it all over again, I know which player I'd be betting my chippies on. :p

In the scheme of things, though, Chris is a young'n on the tournament trail and has a whole future ahead of him to grow, and as strong as he plays now, I don't think we've seen his BEST game as of yet. Whereas, Rodney may just be on top of his game in the year 2006.

As JAM said, it would take anyone a pretty fair amount of time to get to 15 ahead. I would think 8 hours to get to 15 ahead would even be considered fairly speedy. If the two players were more evenly matched getting to 15 ahead could easily take 2 or 3 times that long.

I also agree with JAM that we are going to see some increadible pool from Rodney in 2006!!!
