My team played in the APA regional tourny yesterday. We had to play three matches. First match at 9:30 am. We finished the third match at midnight. We one the first and second matches 3-1. The last match was a thriller. The other team was up 2-1. Our third player, in a race to 3 was down 2-0. He came back and won 3-2. The last match was two 3's. They both played well with a lot of safeties. My man won 2-0.

See you Vegas in August.

Congratulations!

I won a local 9 ball tournament to win my way into a 9 ball doubles spot in August the week before I left for singles, we have team finals coming up at the start of June, playoffs starting this week.

Joel...Congratulations! That's great news! You've worked very hard on your game, and come miles since less than a year ago, when we met at the Providence pool school! It just goes to show how good instruction and disciplined practice can improve anyone's game, in a short time! You'll learn a lot with Randyg next month too! See you in VA in 6 weeks!

wow you only had one day of matches? We played all weekend(about 30 hours total), there was 38 teams. We had to play 6 matches total to qualify for vegas and we won as well!! We will be in vegas. I already booked our rooms and I'm going to book all the flights as soon as I get the Check from the League operator.

Good luck!

In our league, because of the number of teams we have, we get three 8 ball qualifiers and two 9 ball qualifiers.

Each seperated into 16 team boards, usually played over a weekend, single elim.

but you had to play 6 matches to qualify? how did that work?

we had more teams then would actually go on the board so we had to play an extra round (only 6 teams had to play that extra round and we were one of them).

May the best sand bagger win.

I do not care who wins... we just got a free trip to vegas + spending money and more money when in check the team in! I know apa is full of sandbaggers and it sucks, but oh well!

Nothing in life is free.

Hopefully you were smart enough to have a player on your team use his left hand all year that is normally right handed (just one of the moves I have seen in the APA). Than you will really be playing on a equal field in Vegas. Good luck.
