Hi all,
This is Jim Mazzulla - Founder and Director of Christian Pool Players Association. We were doing well in early 2000's then sort of bonked.
Well were going strong again. We are looking for you who are Christian and Love Jesus first and have a passion for pool / billiards.
I use to post on here years ago, so I hope I didn't break any rules posting this. Thank you for having the biggest and best forum out there for pool / billiards players. So if anyone is interested check out our newly updated site at: www.christianpoolplayers.com Godbless! Jim "Preacherman"

Thanks for your service for the saints!

i found a biblical reference to the game of pool-psalms 23:5

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
I’m on my first reading of the Bible, the times have convinced me. I’ll keep an eye out for that line and remember. An image of a ref racking the balls while im preparing to break

Here is a thread that may or may not interest you.

OP. Contact Joey Tate if you aren’t already in touch with him. He and his family are devout Christian’s..
I don't know Joey, but I checked him out online and would love to get in touch with him. If you have a way of contacting him, it would be appreciated.

I do not but his family live here in NC. His Dad owns a business related to pool, I believe it has to do with maintaining bar box pool tables for bars and other places. If I remember correctly his Dads name is Randy.

I think it’s in the Raleigh suburbs.
Hope this helps there is always Facebook. He has younger sisters that compete and most likely they are on FB,..

Is Nick Mannino still involved in the pool scene with the Christian Pool Players? I haven't seen him in a long while. He was always so gracious and kind to me. A real gentleman.

Here's a few photos. Nick at my first Turning Stone event, which was, 2003, subject to check. Next photo is Tony Scianella of Black Boar Cues, Keith, and, Nick.

I was good friends with Nick. Especially back in the early 2000's. Great guy, also good cook (especially Italian). I lost contact with him. I miss our Christian fellowship. I would like an update on Nick too.

I'm a Christian and a pool player, but not a Christian pool player.
I've seen a lot of good players go off the deep end into religion (IMHO) bringing the bible into the pool hall and preaching.

No problem with preaching, I enjoy it, but not at the pool hall, and not while gambling or playing league.
If someone is sitting down eating a bite, maybe you can talk to them about Jesus and being saved, but forcing others makes it a turn off for that environment.

I am not Christian but I very well could be, since I know more about his history than many Christians, and also I believe that his miracles truly occurred, save some translation mistakes. Christian core values are a beautiful thing and I welcome any positivity into pool.

I completely agree with you. I’m not opposed to all street preachers, but yelling at people usually isn’t effective—and disrupting them while they’re playing is just a recipe for making someone upset.

The other members of the CPPA and I don’t preach at people during games, league events, or similar occasions. Instead, we look for opportunities to be there for others—whether in prayer, sharing, encouragement, or support—because people already know we’re Christians.

Back in 2002, when I was in my first pool hall league, everyone knew I was a Christian. Beyond that, we simply prayed for others in our hearts, quietly. As the weeks went by, people from other teams began approaching us for prayer, Bible questions, and more. Even the owners would engage us in discussions about faith.

An owner can have a significant impact on the atmosphere of their business. This particular owner welcomed us and welcomed our presence. Unfortunately, some pool hall owners don’t want Christians in their establishments, which is sad but true.
Godly, Christian pool players should always be welcome, as their goal is to make a positive difference—and that’s something the pool world truly needs.

The world is nothing if not a mixture of sinners and saints. We all have a seat at the table...if WE so choose.
