What are magic racks made of exactly?

Hi - I'm wondering what the raw material of the magic rack is, and is it available for purchase? I have an idea I want to pursue (not a rack), and cannot find any details anywhere.

Thanks for the help :)

Looks like stencil sheet material. Ad says its .14mm thick which is about 5.5mils. https://www.walmart.com/ip/UV-Garde...Frost-Greenhouse-Resistant-Season-1/219652240 Having the sheet is one thing, being able to precisely cut the holes to get the balls to freeze is another. Looks like some precision cutting is gonna be required.

I made some templates from clear mylar sheets. A standard hole punch can do OK but all the ones I've seen lately fail to punch mylar cleanly. Hanging chads.

You can make prototypes from simple copier paper.

Back when the world was so young the corners were barely rounded off I used Mylar for drafting. The reasons for using it drafting are that it is very tough and stable. It would be my pick for a template. Any drafting supply would have it and office supplies used to, haven't looked for it in ages. It was available in various thicknesses for drafting.

If all else fails, look to the little yellow hardware store, bet they have it too!
