What are the Woods in this cue?

Just got it and was wondering what the woods are,thanks in advance guys.

Looks like some nicely figured birdseye maple points and buttsleeve, Bolivian rosewood (Morado) forearm (hard to tell from photo), and East Indian rosewood handle. Really nice figured BEM on that cue!

the forearm very similar to teakwood, but i agree with you it's very hard to see from the photos. And rosewood and Teak are very similar ( are they from the same family?)

I think your best bet is to ask Rick Phillipi o the spec. He's a nice guy.

I think i will if i still have it in March when i go to the Expo,my friend had him refinish it last year but my friend dinged it on the table the first day he got it back,lol,and then he left the case open and when he pulled it out of the car the cue fell out on the blacktop,in the pics you can see the dings.:cool:

sooooo.. what your saying is your friend didnt diserve a nice cue like that and treated her badly so you were happy to take it off hands and give her a loving home! :)

Yes,your right,i love Phillippis and it was just collecting dust and i do take better care of my equipment then my friend and actually the guy who taught me the game.
 
I was thinking padauk aswell for the forearm...the handle I would need to see closeups...could be anything just from those pics....

I will,i believe i will only be playing with it for a few weeks but who knows,its been a good player and has already paid for itself.:D
