What are your thoughts about gambling debts ?

a person even with a very limited amount of self dignity and respect literally can not live with himself if a bet is not paid (imo), they just literally can't do it.

so, if you know a person that does not pay, on a regular basis especially, you are really dealing with a person with screwed up mental processes, and they need help, even though they dont know it (which is part of the problem). The problem of not paying can be associated with narcissism and even borderline personality disorder.

These people really are sick way beyond what you may think initially....eg, oh, he didn't pay, but other than that he's a pretty cool guy. NO!!! believe me, if he shows no sign of remorse when he didn't pay and especially if he does it repeatedly, you are dealing with a very sick person there, seriously.

edit: as an interesting note, these people hold the potential of being so sick that not paying you may be the best blessing in disguise you'll ever get. if they dont pay odds are they wont be approaching you often, and if they do just ask them politely for the money (which you know you wont get) and that should do it.

There are low lifes who make good money betting and collecting when they win, ducking out when they lose. A lot of people aren't going to want to hear this but it could be avoided in most cases. If you gamble with somebody you've never met on the internet you are setting yourself up. If you gamble with somebody in person who you don't know and you don't post ahead of time you are going to run into problems.
