wow, this is a good thread, it motivates us to do become more productive and do the job into perfection.
. As i see, few Filipino cuemakers are on the list.
Know for me, I don't tend to buy them because of perceived warpage issues with climate changes. Probably because I've seen a lot of them here that have warped, though the work in them is usually impressive vs what is charged. Have seen some really nice cues from Filipino cuemakers, hit some, and liked them, but just too much movement. Not sure if thats a climate change thing, shipping, or just not as seasoned of wood. Probably varies with the cuemakers, just as it does here.
Well, you have the previlege of what you say and your opinion. Usually its a big issue for us here as a custom cuemaker that most Filipino cue warp. but as for me, i tried everything i know to prevent those unintended things to happen. and i'm confident on my works. The problem is that, some makers from Pampanga has not meticulosly implemented those proper construction of cues. And the reality most of them warp. The main reason is just not as seasoned of woods. If you will go to those places, you will see the reality, lot of cues being made in just one day in manual manner. And i don't blame them, Why? because thats their only source of food for their families.
I know its very difficult to think those quality measures or procedures when your fighting for your stomach..
And my advice would be, Be wise always when you make a purchase..

i want a Mezz, I have heard too much hype-so vulnerable as I am or weak-call it what you like I want one, nothing fancy just the best quality materials and shaft wood to my specs and i'd be happy. I know this isnt the wish list thread, but I have owned probably 30%-40% of all cue makers out there at one time or another and 100% of the low end years ago, so iuse your imagination and figure I had it![]()
