wow,:) this is a good thread, it motivates us to do become more productive and do the job into perfection.:). As i see, few Filipino cuemakers are on the list.

Know for me, I don't tend to buy them because of perceived warpage issues with climate changes. Probably because I've seen a lot of them here that have warped, though the work in them is usually impressive vs what is charged. Have seen some really nice cues from Filipino cuemakers, hit some, and liked them, but just too much movement. Not sure if thats a climate change thing, shipping, or just not as seasoned of wood. Probably varies with the cuemakers, just as it does here.

longoni: first cue, basic e-1 model (sold)
dominiak: basic curly maple cored one piece butt (kept)
jacoby: 'reverse inlaid hustler' uncored one piece birdseye maple butt (sold), 'the edge' break (kept), jump (kept)
joss: cocobolo four pointer into curly maple with fire veneers (current player with josey shaft)
josey: player + j/b set on order.

* I have used OB-1 shafts but currently play with standard maple shafts.

Well, you have the previlege of what you say and your opinion. Usually its a big issue for us here as a custom cuemaker that most Filipino cue warp. but as for me, i tried everything i know to prevent those unintended things to happen. and i'm confident on my works. The problem is that, some makers from Pampanga has not meticulosly implemented those proper construction of cues. And the reality most of them warp. The main reason is just not as seasoned of woods. If you will go to those places, you will see the reality, lot of cues being made in just one day in manual manner. And i don't blame them, Why? because thats their only source of food for their families.
I know its very difficult to think those quality measures or procedures when your fighting for your stomach..
And my advice would be, Be wise always when you make a purchase..

Thank you for the reply Sir, always nice to hear about things from someone that is actually making these toys we play with.

i want a Mezz, I have heard too much hype-so vulnerable as I am or weak-call it what you like I want one, nothing fancy just the best quality materials and shaft wood to my specs and i'd be happy. I know this isnt the wish list thread, but I have owned probably 30%-40% of all cue makers out there at one time or another and 100% of the low end years ago, so iuse your imagination and figure I had it :P

get one like mine bro! i've seen similar models to mine go for a little under 300 on ebay. they come with the puj shaft (regular maple).

My Cues:

Schon SL8 -1997/98 (black and white veneered points)
Ernie Martinez -1997 Brazilian Rosewood 4 pt into BEM with ivory diamonds and (plays solid and still loving it!)
Danny Vargas - 1998 wrapless purple heart into maple full splice j/b (still a great cue)
Steven Urate - Amboyna burl into ebony 16 point with turquoise (purchased in 2008 and only the extra shaft has a slight rollout) By the way this cue hits amazing...feels the most like a once piece cue I've ever felt in a custom.
Allen Green- fancy fullspice ebony into straight maple sneaky pete...classic looking cue with that big butt classic feel
Meucci Originals European PJ in Blue and white
Meucci Originals Gambler
Samsara 4 point with elk horn ferrules
Coker 6pt
Bludworth
Richard Black 1995 4pt ebony with nice veneers into one hell of a piece of BEM
Leon Sly Custom- Fancy Hoppe Style 4 pointer coming soon.....can't wait!

I ran across this thread while looking for something else and I see i'm far from alone when it comes to owning a lot of different cues. This thread says a lot about pool players who love nice cues and who like to try different cue makers cues out. It's a must read for all of us who love nice cues.......I might add my list to this thread, but it'll take a while for me to think of all of them.

Just added a new, ebony Bobby Hunter to the list.

I'll post some pictures when it gets back.

Let's just say some magic is being worked on it!!!
