What Cue to purchase with my holiday bonus money

why not buy a Cuetec cue, they are good cues, i know, because Allison wins with them, and thats what i play with too, the Cuetec cue, and its not cheap, but it does cost you some money, just not as much as other cues that are more expensive, i've played some good games of 9-ball with my Cuetec, only missing a couple of shots.

thanks,

DCP

You'll get a really nice cue. If you can wait till March hit the Hopkins show.
If not check in the wanted/forsale forum as well as the plethora of cue dealer and cuemaker sites on the net.

I want something with a great hit, a little eye candy, and (2) shafts. Want to stay under 2,500.00 bucks.

Should I order, or buy from inventory. Scruggs, Prewitt, Gina, and a couple of others come to mind.
for 2500 u could get something really nice

Personally, I would never buy a cue that I could not hold in my hands and stroke before purchase. I would take a few hundred of your bonus bucks and attend one of the major tournaments...DCC for example...where there will be numerous vendors selling a huge selection of new and used cues from a dazzling array of cue makers.

I mean no disrespect to any of the fabulous craftsmen who make custom cues. It is just my personal preference to not buy a cue until I have test driven that exact cue.

Regards,
Jim

If I had $2500 lying around I'd buy a used Carmeli and a good preowned table....stretch that cash out!

new cue

Good morning,
I would like to invite you to view some of my work (www.triplecrosscues.com). Maybe there is something that will meet your needs. My pricing is very competitive and the cues are built for playability first and pretty second. Most are well within your price range. They can be ordered with my TXQ Pro-Mod shafts or the new OB-1 shafts if you desire. I plan to be at the Hopkins Expo in March 2008. Maybe I'll see you there. Thanks in advance for looking and considering Triple Cross Cues.

You should take your money to the Derby City Classic and hit vendor row. This will give you the opportunity to feel the hit of several cues and see the cue before pulling the trigger. And you will also be able to watch a ton of great action and one hell of a pool tournament.

Give Andy Gilbert the 2,000

Andy will take the 2,000 for a cue and in 6 months not yrs. you'll really have something worth every penny and then (plenty). I feel he has come into his own with playability and perfection. i was at the allen Hokins show(ice storm) and bought one for 950.+200. for a longoni case made for pred. It playes great, has ivory and ebony with the prettiest blue and white. It was 1 of only seven brought to the show. You should have seen the 6500. model for the Billy Schick induction. Please think of andy he will not dissapoint you! I will put his stuff now with them all. It has taken him 15 yrs.+ to get the recignition he deserves! mark
