What cue would you buy from Amazon for$650 or less?

I got some giftcards from amazon for about 325.00 and I'm going to throw in another 300 toward a cue and they actually have some decent cues there but I just want something moderately priced. I'm kinda stuck on what I want... I'm willing to spend up to 650 but there are some that I like priced cheaper than that.

So far I do like the predator, pechauer and jacoby sneakys but there's a few joss cues in the 400 tange and some schons on there too. Originally I was sold on the joss til I hit with one at a cue shop and hated the way it hit. I use a pechauer now so its a stiffer hitting cue. The schons in the 600 range have a few small bits of ivory and some ebony but nothing really special.

What I'm asking is for anyone that has looked on amazon or takes a look at what they have, what would you buy for 650 or less? What do you feel would be the best bang for the buck? I would spend 650 for a decent custom from here but can't as half of the money is amazon giftcards. I would buy a nicer older cue but all the cues on amazon are new. Id really appreciate any opinions on some of the cues you see there and what your experiences are with some of these cues.

I haven't had the chance to hit with many schons, haven't played with the new predator sneakys either. I haven't hit with the pechauer sneakys but I play with a pechauer so I know the hit. I've been leaning toward schon but it seems like they are kinda pricey for what you are getting. What do you guys think? I really appreciate the info and help.

Thanks again,

Amazon

They actually have several pool distributors now so you can get anything and add a Tiger, OB or predators shaft. I am partial to Tiger but the other night I had a chance to hit with an older Lucasi Hybrid and I think, for the money it had a great feel. Add them to the list and you would have money left over.

very true. I have hit with lucasi before and they dont hit that bad. and of course they have the uniloc joint so you can always go with a predator LD shaft later on down the line. I guess I'm a sucker for looks and thats why I was leaning more towards the Schon/Joss cues because of the butts looking pretty good even at that price range. I've never been a big fan of the way Lucasi did the butts. There was never anything spectacular but I guess thats where you get your lower prices from. Thanks for the opinion.

I'd love to get some more feedback/opinions from others as well.

I'd also be willing to bet you could work a deal with some one on AZB for gift cards plus cash. I know I'd work with you for Amazon money.

Personally, I'd go with a Schon. Good solid "production" cues that play very well. Also, while the high end models don't seem to hold their value too well I think the more reasonably priced models do hold their value extremely well, assuming you get a good price on them to start with. You could probably get a nicely appointed mid-level model or a really base model and a LD shaft of some sort to go with it.

Well I definitely appreciate that info however these giftcards are on my account so I don't know that they are any good for anyone except for my amazon account. I would have definitely done that but I'm not sure exactly how they work in that regard.

If someone put a gun to my head and forced em to buy one, it would be a Joss.

What's so special about mezz? Lots of ppl here love mezz but I've never had the opportunity to hit with one. Not that I am one to complain but it seems like u pay extra for that hit that ppl seems to prefer as a lot of the mezz cues I see are pretty plain and straightforward (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I'm just wondering, is the hit worth the extra you pay?

Yeah the cues that hit the best bring the best money. Seeing cues are made to hit balls with it really kinda makes sense that those that do that task the best are worth the money.

Good luck to you.

Thanks a lot, kevin. The info you provided was very helpful and I definitely will be considering mezz as well. Anyone else have anything to add about the cues offered in the 650.00 or less price range and which one you think is the best bang for the buck? I do appreciate it... thanks.

If you don't want to spend all of your money, buy a Joss for 300-400$ great cue, if you want to spend that 300$ buy a Schon, or a Mezz. Mezz tend to be new mainstream:)
For resale, Schon and Mezz hold their value better.

Probably a Predator for me if I had to get something off of Amazon. That six point green veneered one is a good deal.

If you like your pechauer, you might just want to get a Tiger shaft for it.

However, if I was getting a cool cue for myself as a back up or travel cue, I like wrapless, and I like this Mezz a lot:

http://www.amazon.com/Mezz-ZZSP-19-0/dp/B0036FL6YA/ref=sr_1_5?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1391547013&sr=1-5

I've had them both as lifetime players (temporarily) and the Mezz gives the Pred the 8 for shaft playability, plus the Pred it a bit fat in the butt for my taste (with apologies to Sir Mix Alot).

I would suggest you spend it all on kmc bicycle chains. Seriously.

I bought one and it was like $30. It arrived and they sent a box of 5.
Each woul quickly sell for 20+ on fleabay

Turn your 35 into 100, it will. Multiply by 20, in your case!

Free advice: worth every penny!

Thank you guys for your responses. Its well appreciated. Ive narrowed it down to like 5 or6 lol. Im getting there. if anyone else has anything to add, feel free. Unless your name is black balled and you just want to increase your postcount.
