What do pros think about...

..when they are sitting there watching their opponent run rack after rack? Do you think they are watching those shots and playing them in there head? Or are they thinking about non-pool stuff? I just know it must be hard...

Top players have the ability to switch off when in the seat. Some will switch off completely and think about what their wife is making for dinner, others will think about the game at hand and second guess what the opponent will do. Then you have the guys looking out for weaknesses in their opponents. But the very best probably do all of the above without even, err... Thinking about it.

Mizerak used to joke he would sit there wishing the guy would fall and break his leg, and other such sentiments........

Its all relative, you watch your friend run a few balls, which you can respond to likewise. They watch their opponents run a few racks, which they also can respond to likewise.

Don't think of them viewing racks being run from your perspective of being used to seeing balls being run.

One of the best players I know. Sits there fuming if he doesn't think they ran out the right way.

That would be Earl is my guess, and he often says it too.

Most players just sit there steaming and suffering. I like how Johnny Archer just looks away off in the distance like he's as bored as hell. Not paying attention to the talented competition could be sharking.
