What Do You All Want Me To Do?

Not to hijack the thread, but DAMMIT JUDE, you made me snort out loud! Now my boss wants to know what is "so damn funny?"

Looks like I may be changing jobs soon, too. Tanks fer nuttin' . . . . . :D

I'm sure Drivemaker would be happy to find you a job. He found me a job! Drivemaker is great!

For all of you that have taken the time to put some thoughts together and post, I appreciate it and thanks.

I guess I really left myself open for some wicked negative criticism, but it never really came that harshly maybe for the exception of one. But that's OK.
I kinda thought it would be a lot worse. LOL

Drivermaker will be Drivermaker...I'll still do my schtick, it ain't gonna change.
If ANYTHING in life for me stops being fun whether it's pool, golf, posting on forums, or whatever...that activity will be immediately ceased. If it's deemed that I don't belong here by the head honcho, then I just get gonged like on the old "Gong Show" and that's it, no big deal.

If you REALLY get rubbed the wrong way, just PM me. Don't sit around crying and whining like a little kid or complaining to mommy and daddy that your bad brother did something to you.

I PROMISE....I WILL continue to keep this place out of a comatose state. The pot WILL BE STIRRED and chains will be jerked. (I'm sure mine included)
Sissies are not allowed entrance for very long.

And all of this will occur as long as you don't see BANNED under my name.

Also, always remember....the crosshairs are constantly aiming at something or someone...it could be YOU. :D (always have a good hearty belly laugh each day...you'll live longer)

So the question is...should I ease up and be an automaton poster that answers every "What tip do you use"..."How does a Predator compare to other shafts"..."What do you use to clean your shaft"....and all of the other threads in a droll matter of fact response...OR...should Drivermaker just be Drivermaker and let the good times roll?

My answer to this specific question is: Drivermaker should just be Drivermaker and let the good times roll...

DM,

Your posts are usually short and to the point. I don't always agree with you but hey, that would be boring as Hell. I do think you sometimes come on awfully strong and I have been sort of stunned and wondered why the harshness. Several times I've had to go back and read the other posters post to try to determine what brought on the heat but have often failed to see cause. That's your prerogative and so far, you've never flamed my ass so whatever.

As to Whitewolf's attempt to compare you to FL, there is no comparison as far as I'm concerned. As stated in my first sentence, your posts are short and to the point. FL went on for pages and pages ad nauseum. He could chew up more bandwith in one post than all of Silencer's threads combined!! Sounds like he's laying waste to RSB now, God help them! So stick around and keep the fires burning because it does make for an interesting ride.

I think you often make comments that are really not your place to even go, and you put such tension in every reply, almost attacking people sometimes, when there's really no reason for it most of the time. Hopefully, you won't let all these "stay" messages go to your head, and feel it's even more acceptable to be that way so often. I don't think you will, and you do bring a lot to the forum, and anyone who is here for the right reasons, isn't going to take things too personal when yo DO cross the line, and move on. Most of us are adults, and should be able to.

i think what you're finding out,,,is that people, when given the chance to explain themselves more fully in a "message forum", seem less anatgonistic than when they're just posting replies

Thanks Dr. Dea...I'll cherish those thoughts and words of advice in the months to come.

As I said Driver will be Driver, whatever that might be.

Did you have anything in the threads about pool today that I missed? I've been kinda busy in other ways. Always look forward to your pool advice too.

When reading the written word on the internet, especially a forum, it can be interpreted in more ways than a passage in the bible with every emotion that a reader WANTS to read into it. One might find humor...another might find hate. Watcha gonna do?

What's Lexapro? You takin' something I don't know about?

Okay, I came upon this thread kind of late, but I agree with the posters who feel that DM's posts are for the most part informative and intelligent, with a humorously acerbic aftertaste. Or to put it another way: His posts are worth reading because they are well-written, articulate and informed, and also filled with a dry humor that is often gut-bustingly funny -- but also occasionally a little too harsh. But I still enjoy reading his posts; he's actually one of my favorite posters. :) (Uh oh, I admitted it!!!)

I'm here to learn, not give advice. I just answered the question at hand.

And sure..but see, you missed it..it was another one of those threads deleted because the thread owner didn't like the "direction" it was going...not my fault!! :(

D'maker,
I was going to echo the general sentiments, but WTF - did you just refer to yourself in the third person? Do that again and we all will want you BANNED!!!
If I ever do that just shoot me.

OK, grab your virtual marshmallows and we'll sit around the virtual campfire and have a virtual sing along:

Kumbaya my lord Kumbaya
Kumbaya my lord Kumbaya
Kumbaya my lord Kumbaya
O lord Kumbaya.

I think there's more, but that's as much of it as I know. Who ever thought that a thread started by the Driverdude could inspire such virtual love among us?
