It worked for me! My game used to really suck and now it just kind of sucks, lol...... If my mentor had a better schedule and came out after dark when I can play I might be a contender! LMAO

it has been working for me. it makes you focus and shoot back because the chance is the other guy (better player) is keeping the pressure on you
 
I look at it this way: my game is like pizza - no matter how much it sucks, hey, it's still pizza! :smile:
 
Try free-wheeling. Don't overthink everything. When was the last time you actually thought about bending your knees when you walked? Let your subconscious control your movements, not your conscious mind. Have fun.

That is a perfect mindset for a match. You do not think about mechanics whilst you play.

Obviously there is some room for doing this stuff in great detail and then programming your mind to do it. Ideally this should be done in practice but if no practice time is available, I would keep the list short of things you should do if you want to mix practice and playing. Enough to make progress but enough to not destabilise the pattern.

Pay attention, but, not too much attention. Don't overanalyze what you are doing. You know what to do, just see it and do it. Have fun!.

Don't worry about the outcome. Get that straight before the match. You can only do your best with how the balls lie. Allow yourself to do your best. Have fun!

Expectations of winning is what alot of people suffer from.

Expectations of losing is also what alot of people suffer from.

If you have expectations of losing and try to change your mindset so you have expectations of winning... its not optimal but is better than nothing.
