What do you want out of a retailer?

Let us know, Wisconsin Billiard Supply intends to become the most referred Billiard Supply company in the world. Yes it is a huge task, but we need your input to start the progress. If there are products or cue builders you want access to please let us know. Obviously we are not gonna be able to get the masters on board so recommend who may appreciate our service. If you need Kamui, aramith, simonis, Schon, Viking, Jacoby, or Pechauer products PM for best pricing. Oh yeah we are a Magic Chalk dealer as well.

For me, the lowest price by a few cents or a few dollars is NOT the primary consideration when I'm purchasing something like a cue.

The primary consideration is support.

What is support? Support is expertise and someone who is willing to spend a little time with me (either on the phone or in the showroom/store) both before and after the sale. I've come to appreciate the benefits of having a relationship with those with whom I do business on such items.

There's a retailer on eBay, who is also a forum member, who prices competitively, but is not always the lowest price. His service (and the service from his team) has been awesome. I usually end up purchasing items from him.

I appreciate Seyberts for sponsoring this forum. I believe I will add them to the limited number of Billiard supply retailers with whom I do business. In fact, when I purchase the OB-136, they're in contention to be the retailer I choose.

My advice, be passionate, listen to your customers (as you are doing now) and be patient. PM me a link to your business and I'll happily browse and give you a shot for whatever my next purchase is. Good luck! -Z-

You are surely right. I have found there is a great disconnect between the players and pros and also the rooms and the wholesalers. If I wanted my product in pool rooms it would be totally up to me to see that it happens. I find this almost astonishing but it seems that a little attention to the marketplace would net a wholesaler a lot more customer loyalty.

If you look at the end of the year profits minus the fact that you put someone on the road in a car, in hotels calling on customers you might look at that expense as something that pays for itself in productivity with a net result of more customer loyalty and that is worth a lot when it comes to building a business model.

I buy everything from Nielsen's Billiards. Customer service there is above and beyond what you expect. Their prices are competitive and reasonable. On Ebay, their store is known as Joerackem.

Site Is Up, but needs work.

These days you need a good web site. Also, it doesn't hurt to have the products you advertise on the site. I could not find Magic Chalk, or any other type of chalk for that matter.

Right now we are trying to cater individually to our clients needs and are contemplating exactly how to best achieve this. I know I prefer to have a personal relationship with all of my customers so if you need something we deal with please let me know. I'm sure anyone on AZ who I have dealt with will tell you they appreciated the time we took to explain a product we offer being either as agood fit or not a good fit to them personally. My feeling is if you love pool we can find the product that fits your needs and will work in your budget. No prima donnas here.
