What ever happened to Rodolpho Luat?

I do not think Pool Chump is Mr. Ram Shot.

But he does remind me of another member, but that does NOT mean that he is.

Just because someone has a new join date does not mean that they have not been just reading here for a long time & might have a very good feel for the 'personality' of long time members.

There are several & perhaps more than a few that are respected by a lot here that have very arrogant & condescending demeanor & make posts of a very self promoting nature at the 'expense' of others.

I would say that they have done it so often & for so long that they do not even give it & the other individual a second thought.

There are more than one type of troll that frequents & uses this site.

All Best Wishes to ALL... including the possible new member.

PS I guess that I will now get at least some of the flake that is being shot at Pool Chump.

It rather amazes me how some only want their portions of the truth to be heard.

Marlon Manalo

he was definetly a great player.....i had always hope marlon manalo would compete more internationally.....another great player.

Marlon did compete on the International level around 10-15 years ago. I think he was at the top or close to the top of the list of Filipino players at that time. I have no idea why he stopped competing on that level. I'm sure he was earning more in business than he was playing pool. For someone who started as a snooker player he got a lot of respect from the pool playing community. As a teenager he represented the Philippines in International Snooker competition.

Rodolfo Luat aka Boy Samson is currently the Philippine Team coach, friends.

You know we almost had to start a "whatever happened to anito kid" thread too, right!?

And this thread is an early Michael riddick show. What a ninny he is! English! And poopchump...having a chat.

Marlon is into Philippine politics, holding an elective office for the last five or six years.

Thank you. It is nice to be back.

And you remember the tag line! :)
I am trying to find a way to post a recent picture of him - still trying to find my way again on how to do it.

Got the phone number of my good friend, Rodolfo Luat, aka Boy Samson!
We are so planning to have a meet up soon! WOOT! WOOT!

I miss my friend so much! He tried to teach me what he knew - to make me
a better player - despite my limited pool playing self.

Hey, Boy! I'll be fulfilling that promise I made to you, my old friend.

See you soon,

I was at Chris's one night, Rudolfo and Santos were both there just screwing around looking for a game. Finally one of the local Mexican 3 cushion players talked Rudolfo into a race playing 3 cushion for $100.00. Unknown to Rudolfo this guy could play.

Well the inevitable happened and Rudolfo lost. For the nest couple hours Rudolfo did everything in his power to get that $100.00 back. I can remember the Mexican guy laughing at Rudolfo for playing him in 3 cushion. Rudolfo kept going at him to play some 9 ball for the hundred and the guy just laughed and said no way your a world champion. Santos was smiling and laughing at Rudolfo getting hustled, it was pretty damned funny how hard he tried to get that money back. Still makes me smile when I think about it.
Another memorable night at the pool hall!
