I like that table but what do I know. I've never built one from the ground up, so I'm not qualified to opine on how well made (or not) it is. All I know is the balls go where they're supposed to if you hit them right.

Thanks guys. I will be picking it up in a few weeks. Does anyone know the standard pocket size for a Gold Crown 4? Is it 4.5 inch or 5 in the corners? I might have it slightly modified and would tell the fitter in advance

Most likely 5". Are you replacing the cushions? Sub rail extensions are the proper way to have the pockets reduced and a standard 3/16" facing. A cheaper route, you could also have them replace the pocket facings, make sure they remove the old ones and us 60 durometer neoprene, that is the current standard material. I have learned that the biggest facing to be used is 1/4", otherwise the pockets will play weird. I actually bought some 3/8" and plan on testing them to see how they play. Good luck with your new table, GC4's are awesome playing tables!

Have the pockets calibrated. The GC4 pockets not very consistent with each other. Mine wasn’t.
