I saw a thread on here a few weeks ago saying that Diamonds had closed down for a bit. Is it open again? What is that status?

Thanks

Well today at hawleys everyone was talkin about this, they said they are tryin to sell all there tables and stuff...so that cant be a good sign, when i talked to ppl and asked why they said they werent making any money at all.... i loved playin there :(

If it's true they are closing, that sucks. I know Billy and his partners made a hell of an effort to do something special down in Dallas. Hope the rumors of the rooms demise are exagerated.

This is a shame. I don't know anything about the setup over there, but its become clear that pure poolrooms aren't really going to cover expenses for MOST locations at this time. Hope they at least roughly broke even.

Good food can really pull in an lot of various customers if the place is properly furnished. Both casual business lunchers and regular customers will be happy to pay for this from what I've seen.

You are 100% correct.

Prolly didn't:(

Profit margins on food tend to be low in "poolrooms". Cost of ingredients and prep normally run 65 to 70% of sales in a well run kitchen. If the owner/operater isn't vigilent the slim profits can quickly go by the wayside.

Beer, wine and/or mixed drinks, in addition to "arcaide" games, are necessary.

According to Mike Haines, who lives in Dallas and played there every day, they are closed and there is no plan to re-open.

Who can we contact for information on the items?

Call either Bumperman or Billy Incordona. They are closed and selling out.

It is too bad too. Nice place. The business plan jkust never got off the ground.

It was a grat place to play though.

According to my sources, Bill is close to setting the tables up in another location. Maybe a win-win for all of us.......SPF=randyg

Hope everything works out well, Maybe, he will move to the Lewisville area,
That would be great for me, LOL

That's What I'm Known For.... My THINKING

Instead of setting up in Texas and trying to attract the gamblers, Billy I. should turn the whole trailer of an 18 wheel big rig into a Deluxe air conditioned gameroom. He could hang a chandelier, have a portable bar, large screen TV, sweator/backer seating, a Diamond table & light, etc. and travel around the country playing arranged matches for massive amounts of jellybeans.... imo
Doug
( rig it with some cameras and broadcast it to fans, who may want to bet through Paypal with/on Billy I. ) :)

*Edited to add: Don't drive to the Phillipines..... imo
.

From what I hear, all tables havve been sold.

Who or Where to, if you can say?

I heard a rumor that the tables might be sold to a local D/FW pool hall. Can this be so? What a coup for the players if the rumor is true!

I heard the other night that The Billiard Den has some Diamond tables... I hadn't heard that before, so I'm wondering if there is some connection there. I also heard they have ping pong tables!
