Actually it's not a joint protector for the butt. It's a tip burnisher. I have one exaclty like it. I can't remember the name, and I'm too lazy to go upstairs and look. These work pretty slick though. They're some kind of plastic, so you don't have to worry about the ferrule damage like on some other kinds.

The Accessory cups are also available for 2 x 4's from Ron Thomas, this one is about Two Inches Deep, and works wonderful, but Ron is making lots of 2 x 4 with the Cups also.
