What is the "gripiest" tip made?

Peoples opinion is subjektive by nature, and players will judge a piece of equipment differently.
I don't claim to be an authority on cue tips, but I do install hundreds of tips each year and I have tried most products on the market.
I see Kamui, Zan and G2 has been compared.
Kamui Black/clear black SS is harder than G2 Soft, Zan Premium Soft and even Kamui original/clear original SS.
the Kamui Black tips is also less than stellar, when it comes to holding on to chalk and they glance over quickly, it's the tanning process that does it, the upside is that the tip holds its shape better than other very soft tips. To me, mushrooming is almost a non issue if the tip is installed and burnished correctely.
I would rate Zan Premium Soft, G2 Soft and Kamui Original SS as the 3 best performing Soft tips.

Yep......;)

Too busy for the reindeer games right now but the Ki-Tech M/S was developed working on a chalkless tip.... It grips the cueball without chalk as long as you are 1 1/2 tips from center.... NOOOOO Chalk.... Try that with ANY of the others listed LOL

We are still waiting on you to show us that country of origin law you were so keen on or do I have the wrong reindeer game in mind?

Actually went ahead and filed since I won't argue with people who pick a font size higher than their IQ... Stay tuned... FTC and Customs rulings are likely 2 weeks out....

mmmm is it strange that I can spin the ball just the same with my phenolic tip than with my Kamui Black S?
isn't it supposed that with chalk, tip and ball gear perfectly?

do it super slow with lots of spin several times in a row and come back... At higher speeds the ratios get closer because of amount of compression vs max..... Last sentence is incomplete in syntax so am not sure what you are asking.....

Sorry, English isn't my native languaje, so lets see if I can learn something new today
What I wanted to ask is if with a chalked tip, ball and tip gear (engage, mesh) perfectly (It would be great for me if you can write my first question correctly).

Ahhh OK.... If the tip is chalked and the friction is adequate the tip and cueball will stay engaged from compression thru decompression so if there is an offset they will gear.... YES.... For cheaper chalks it happens most of the time... for premiums it will happen all the time... There are instances with cheaper chalk where there are misscues and slips that occur during gearing... misscue is rare but slip is common.. you can hear both when they happen and slips end up short on shape and spin...

Elkmaster

Looking for opinions on what tip has the most grip. I am looking for a tip that holds chalk well and does not quickly glaze over. I have a wizard tip on my playing cue and looking for something with hopefully more grip when using English on the cue ball. Want a tip the doesn't require a lot of maintenance if possible too.

Elkmaster by far. I find that people ignore the obvious. They've been around forever. I like mine tall and wear them down. Over time they start out very soft and grippy and stay that way a long time. When you get it pounded in real good and its ready to change it will hit very much like a Triangle which also hits very good. Overall for price and results Elkmaster is a really good tip. .

FWIW, I get the most spin with harder tips. Close up it doesn't matter much. Far away, I find I have to use way more power to get the same cue ball speed, and thus the same spin by the time I get to the ball. I must have gone through 15 different tips in the last few weeks, just to see for myself. Some feel super "grippy", but side by side the cue ball doesn't seem to behave much differently close up, and hard tips have significantly better performance on longer shots for the same level of effort.

Anyhow, that's just my opinion, but if you're going to worry about how a tip performs, it might pay to have a hard or medium tip on one shaft, a soft tip on another shaft, and just put them head to head so you can see for yourself. I fully expected the soft tip to have better performance, even if not significantly better, better at least. In practice under real playing conditions, it was exactly the opposite for me!

I wonder if I soaked some tips in this muddy water if the sediment would impregnate.....

You may be onto something. I have heard the early French Champion and Crown tips were made by burying them underground for a period as part of the tanning. They did have kind of an earthy smell to them too.

All the best,
WW

Why on earth would you want a grippy tip.
Unless of course you can't hit the cueball where you are aiming.

The grippy tip stays inside better. The only condom I use! ;)
