What tip do you use?

I am curious what tip is the most common out of the 10 I listed and why you prefer to use that specific tip. I know I wasn?t able to list every tip there is but the poll only allows me to give 10 options. If I didn?t list the tip you use I would still like to hear about what tip works for you.

I have been having a hard time figuring out what tip to use now that the Moori has changed so much (imo), I hope this poll can point me in a good direction. Right now i am using a Kamui med-soft and is working ok....

Lets hear what you got

Justin

ps: have a look at my missing cue in my signature maybe you have seen it? :(

I really like Talismans. I don't think that there are a lot of Talisman lovers here but after about 7 or 8 years using them and putting them on all of my shooting cues I have had only one that delaminated. The deal that Mueller's gives you on 3 or more is unbeatable. And you just about can't wear one out.

Does the Talisman come in different densities? (hard, med, soft?)

Blue Diamond. They are soft but quite as soft as a normal Elkmaster. Zero miscues so far and I can draw the hell out of the cueball with it.

i am surprised how popular the Sniper tip is so far, my guess was going to be the moori for sure,,,

I'm all about the Elkmaster. Cheap and effective, and damn near impossible to miscue with.

I'd like to see a poll on tip hardness. I've always wondered about that....

At Waffle House one morning about 3am I tried to give the waitress a Moori and told her it was a $20 tip.

She wasn't amused and settled for $3 US Dollars instead. :-)

My friend Craig thought it was funny.

Did we have a couple beers?

Two years ago this poll would be hand down Moori. The tip has changed or the competition has got better.
I've been promoting Snipers in Spokane for about 6 months. I play three times a week with these new Sniper fans and have watched their games step up. Not just step up but getting closer in the tournaments, winning playoffs, and making more money in the ring games.
I'm hesitant to put another sniper on anybodies cue that I might have to compete against. It's costing me money! LOL

Hands down the best tip on the market.

I've found that snipers take a bit of breaking in. Once they are played for a time they always play better and better. I've always wanted to press a new one to bypass this period but never had the opportunity or tools.

Other than that I enjoy a quality triangle or le pro. I'm itching to try a milk dud though...

I have played Moori for years and just picked up a few Kamui. I love 'em. I feel like I control the CB much better.

i've always used lepro. most people seem to hate them but i have never had any problems. i usually need to scuff and shape a little once a week (more if i play everyday) but i almost never miscue and get good spin as long as the tip is maintained.

Me too. I haven't tried much else, because I liked them from the start. They are stable, longlasting and take chalk well. I use the medium pro-kind.

The one which I put on my old cue without a lathe is fine, and the ones which were delivered with my Murrell have lasted for a year as well, none has delaminated.

I have used two LePros, and they needed reshaping quite often. When I shaped them with my Ultimate Tool, the surface showed thick and prominent grain. It took some hits and a lot of chalking before the surface settled in.

Did this not happen to your tips?

Sniper Tip

My sniper tip holds chalk forever! I've been using it for about 4 or 5 years at least...
