What is your favorite match to watch over and over?

FYI, lots of great pool matches available on Youtube are linked on the great pool matches resource page.

Whenever threads like these come out, I add more vids to the list, per people's recommendations. I've also found many of them on my own over the years.

Enjoy,
Dave

Hi Dave.

One of my favorite matches is there; Yang vs. Bustamante (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBvbJA5rRUs&feature=youtu.be )..but your link is to match that end too soon(almost 10 min missing from end)..

You might want to change it to this one that have full match..

Idk how to post the link but World Pool Masters 2001 Bustamante vs Strickland

It's a great match I just watched it for the first time and I gotta say Both of them look better than I ve ever(I'm saying physically) Strickland doesn't have those huge bags under his eyes, his face isn't sunken In, he doesn't have the mustache and I've also never seen him act so calm I truly hope he was in a good place mentally but it's possibly he was is a Valium or be so trance I mean he never gets mad he really acts like a gentleman it's awesome to see compared to his usual self. And both players have a serious intense focus during the whole match. All In all its a good hill hill match worth watching.

Obviously the $20,000 One-Pocket match between John Barton & Lou Figueroa. I can watch that till my eyes bleed, and they did once.

Clearly a classic.

Just about anything with Keith McCready. But one in particular. Harry Platius & Keith McCready playing ad scotch doubles against Ronnie Allen. Allen was alternating from two hands to one handed. Ronnie was cussing up a blue streak. They had him wound up as tight as a Swiss clock it was hilarious, & entertaining.

I watched Keith do the same thing with a different partner in 2001 at JOB's in Nashville for 10 grand a game. When I walked in Keith was coaching his partner, chirping away & dropping balls with ease. When I walked away to go play myself, they were up 90 grand

You have good taste! :grin-square:

I wish that Nashville match had been filmed. There isn't much video of Keith gambling back in the day, as it was before digital came to the fore.

I'll check with Joe Blackburn ( house pro at the time) & James Blaylock, it may have been taped. Probably not, but you never know
