What is your pool nickname, and how did you come by the nickname?

I am known in Mexico as "Necesidad De Los Siete". In Vietnam I am called "Can Bay" in Germany everybody calls me "Mussen Die Sieben". You get the idea.

Well I used to play some incredibly long matches and I loved it.
in Vegas I played guy at he Rumrunner around 1984-85 for 44 hours straight.
Afterwards and local called Iron Mike came up to me and said," I am the Iron Mike, but you are the Ironman"!
it just sort of stuck!

I played him once in Tampa while giving him decent weight, and didn't play well at all, and he ended up winning about $50 or so.

He participated in a thread where I got steamed and started some friendly trash talking, and I was thereby christened "Short Bus Russ", for my "lack of playing skills".

I ended up taking the name for my own, because hey, not everyone ends up earning a nickname, you know? :-) It was great.. They even photoshopped a image of me into a pimped-out short bus pic they found on the internet.

It is one of the best nicknames I have ever witnessed being betowed. You did great embracing it and capitalizing on it.

Folks could see how witty of a guy SmorgassBored could be if they searched for his posts in this forum. You can search for posts by:
!SmorgassBored. He was also known as Doug, Smorg, Smorgie, Dougie, Tampa-Tubby-Bob etc. Doug was the best............................

RIP Doug Winslow. You brought a lot of mirth to this forum.
