What is YOUR shot?

CueTable Help

The cue ball and the eight ball are frozen. Shoot through the shot with extreme top right. The eight will bank underneath you and the cue ball will go four rails and make the nine. It is one of those "What would you do from here shots." This shot came up on me in a game. I froze myself to the eight ball and banked the eight and accidentally made the nine. I can probably make the nine ball 85-90% of the time...the bank is the hard part.

Following with DRAW

Aim low left take all your wrist out of the shot and punch with a full follow thru.:D Its just a fun shot to shoot.

Too bad this shot is a foul.

It must be fun, since it's magic. That shot won't happen with the (low) hit you describe.

I put two balls frozen together in the middle of the head rail.. beat them down so they stay put. Then put the 8-ball between and on top of them, up on top of the rail.
Bring the cue ball to the other head of the table and bet someone a beer that you can hit the 8 without the cue ball leaving the table.

Some things go bump in the middle of the night.

Thats an old one but I've made a lot of money of it in bars. Shoot shoot easy and...Johnnyt

This isn't really any kind of super shot, rather, a fun way to show just how easy 3 rail kicks are. I am sure many of you know how to do this already, but for those who don't this is fun.

1) Look down the natural line for a standard three rail kick with the CB in the pocket. The natural line is to hit the 3 diamond and the CB will travel 3 rails and make the 8.

2) Now pick a spot on a fixed point in the room about 10-15 feet away in a straight line with your alignment.

3) Place the CB anywhere on the table and aim at that same fixed point.

4) Neat eh.

Old indeed.. but there's always a new generation of bangers cropping up to pay for my next drink!

I use a similar technique. I find the equal opposite side of the table from where I need to hit. From that point aim over the center diamond and find a spot 9 to 12 ft. away. Shoot the cue ball at that spot with a little running English. I find it very accurate.

Line A is target line from equal opposite side of table from contact point.

Great system thanks Sponge.

That method works from the second diamond, as you've diagrammed it, but that's a coincidence. It won't work from anywhere else on the table (for instance, from the first diamond it goes long and from the third diamond it goes short).

My favorite shot

Actually came up with this shot while playing a tournament match. Making the one and getting shape for the two. My opponent about fell over when the cue ball finally got there. The shot is a very hard stroked shot, but takes forever to get to its finally position cause all of the cue ball's speed is generated off the rails as a direct result of the the massive spin on the cue ball.

Ugh. For some reason every time a Cuetable diagram is used all I get is an empty table with the message "Beta version expired" or something. I keep heading to the CT site for the update but I can't even see it there let alone get it to work!

Can anyone save me from my uselessness? Please?
