What is YOUR shot?

I play by myself a lot and I always enjoy finding interesting ways to kick a ball :)

CueTable Help

Note: page 2 is actually a Mika shot, I came up with the others myself.

Ok, so over the years I have been fortunate enough to have had, as I am sure most have, those nights of extreme boredom where a bunch of talented players are standing around a table full of balls not wanting to play when one player says, "try this shot". They then proceed to hit a shot you would have never thought of previously. Over the years and many, many, many, of these sorts of evenings (or very early mornings) I have been fortunate enough to learn a few really cool shots.

So here is my question: if all of AZ were in a room together and you were given one "cool" shot to show the group, what would it be?

I WOULD SHOW THEM EXACTLY HOW EFREN AND BUSTAMANTE POCKET AND BANK BALLS.

It must be fun, since it's magic. That shot won't happen with the (low) hit you describe.

What?s nice about this forum is you have the opportunity to learn new shots, even those that seem unlikely or impossible. I also had a hard time believing this shot was possible, it was shown to me by Charlie Bryant (Hillbilly). I do agree it magical. But the low on the diagram is not a typo. I know several posters here that are familiar with this shot perhaps they could chime in on the technique.

I need to get to t table so I can try cuetable's "page 2" shot. WOW! Thanks for posting that.

Too bad this shot is a foul.

Why you wanna act like this. :(

Ease up a little

Whether it is a foul or not this is a showoff shot type of thing according to the person who started the thread not what legal shot do you have to show.

Even Hillbilly can't change the laws of physics. If you hit the cue ball low and hard at a ball two feet away, it will draw, not follow. Unless your description or your diagram are wrong, the shot doesn't "seem" impossible - it *is* impossible.

I know several posters here that are familiar with this shot perhaps they could chime in on the technique.

I'd be interested...

Another shot

I looked through the thread twice and did not see this shot. If by chance I missed it, I am sorry for duplicating it.

This is one I found useful and actually have use it in matches. It is really not as difficult as it seems. Makes you get you back into stroke. Use low inside on the shot. Make sure you practice it to know where to aim because of "deflection". The ball reverses off the opposite rail. "watch out for the scratch!" (side [if you hit the five too full] and corner [if you apply too much english])

CueTable Help

line up 3 balls all frozen together and make all of them in one pocket with only one (legal) shot. (the only catch is you CANT freeze the cueball to the object balls.) you can put the cue ball anywhere you want except frozen to the object balls)

like this.

I love these types of shots. Similar to the one where you set a combination on the long rail one diamond with two balls frozen and a ball on a 45 angle to the last one aimed to the farther pocket and challenge to make the combo!

The first time I saw this shot it made me spit!;)

OB on the short rail about 1 diamond from the corner, Cue ball approx. 2 diamonds from the corner on both rails. Hit it hard, full in the face, center, and the OB goes 4-rails into the nearest corner.

I typically cut the OB to an imaginary spot close to 2 diamonds beyond the corner pocket if you follow the long rail...just as a general reference.

actually... my shot is to make all 3 (or 4 or 5, however many balls i put there) in the same pocket on with ONE shot... not just the combo... thats really easy.

I like Larry Nevel's proposition shot, but I can only "show" it on Wei's table:

Ok, I have seen two versions of this shot. First is the one in the side with a string of 6 balls. Place the triangle under the first ball and hit medium firm and they all go. Second is that by, as implied by my previous thread, add a touch of saliva to the contacting points of all the balls and fire away. The saliva takes the spin off the balls and they all travel forward. If this isn't how you shoot it I would love to hear how.

nope... thats not how i shoot it... there isnt any prep you have to do to the balls to make it work... its simple when you see it done, but most poeple will try all damn day and never figure it out... i will wait for about an hour and if noone else knows the "secret" i will post it on here.

Then my next guess would be a slow push stroke and hold the follow to pocket the balls. I know it's a foul, but the point is the trick, not the legality. If that ain't how, I want to know. ;)

NOPE... that aint how... notice in my origional post i said it has to be a LEGAL shot... no pushing the balls into the pocket.

send me a PM and i will explain how to make the shot...
