the pool room

What it meant to me ,if I had a pool room,which I am looking for now.
James would meam lots of revenue to me from several sources

Ist..i would give him a free hand to play anyone that would play on my dime
anybody in the world who would play exhibition matches that i could video
,live stream and stake

all the promotion sales would go to the house
but I would have $5000 sets open with a small cover and profit from the drinks and the table time

this would put life in the pool area again
2nd any body in the house could play cheap sets and match up

Group lessons would be on the dock

people like to learn when the teacher makes it fun,and fun would be back at the POOL ROOM again

suddenly with my money and the ready availability of action Players from everywhere would be coming to town like they do at hard times in LA

I am far from saying that I would give up leagues and tournaments,in fact I think the mutual interaction would create more interest and profit

Instruction,group instruction,promotion and a layer that would be ready and financed against anybody

You see James may not be the player he was,but he is still the person he was ,and I could do all of this knowing the games would be on the square

Heck,pool might be fun enough to fill my room while others are closing

I've known James since he started coming to the original Billiard Palace in Tulsa,roughly 1985 or '86. He's a guy who is an absolute killer on the table and one of the most laid-back,slo' movin', slo talkin' Okies you'll ever meet. It's true that he's had some problems over the years but show me a warrior of his caliber who doesn't. I think JW is probably ready for a more stable situation where he can call a room home-base and slow it down a bit. I know it's not going to be my money on the line but hey, give him shot with maybe a trial period to see how it goes.
 
Anything to get the pool scene poppin again is a good idea.

How did he do Thursday playing the ghost at bayou?

it sound like you and i think exactly the same. if you do get a room of your own, hit me up. i like what you have in mind, it sounds exactly like what i am looking for. we could probably go far together. so give me a ring if you get a room. we can make some money together, i am sure of that.
 
surely someone with a good size room,a players base that could stand some expanding and a little vision for business can see his way to work with James

You have to spend a little on entertainment to draw the customers in,a happy place is a drinking customer
