Right now I'm shooting with a Pat Diveney with a shaft made from lake salvage wood. I'll probably ultimately go back to my Madison Bob though, I always do.

I'm playing with a Sailor and experimenting w/an ob 1 shaft on it.... at least until the Starkey arrives. Then... we'll see :)

At the moment I am using a custom McScorpion, with an ivory ferrule and a pressed Triangle tip. This thing plays lights out.

In the construction of a Wheat RAT!! I willl post PICS it is going to be amazing.

I love my Falcon cue and have been using it for ten years now. I own numerous other cues, but that's what I play with.

Amen to that! LOVE my Falcon.

A mutt

Started out as a first generation Predator 314. After several years I sold the 314 shafts and had Ed Young make me a custom hollow-point shaft with a 10mm tip. Later I wanted a wrapless grip so I swapped the Predator butt (to the guy I sold the shafts to) for a wrapless Joss with the same threads (and a slightly mismatched joint).

So now I have a cue that looks like a mutt but plays like... well, it still plays like I do. Ed couldn't fix that.

Although I own custom cues from Tim Scruggs, Mike Lambros and Murray Tucker, the cues I play with were made by Mike Capone.

I shoot with four cues on a regular basis:

4 point radial Searing
4 Point radial/uniloc Searing break jump
Merry Widow uniloc Searing
Original Sledgehammer break/jump

I shoot with both Carolina Cue and now a Troy Downey that Mike from CC rewrapped. Now I like both of them. not sure which i like better yet.

The Carolina Cue is a plane jane cocobolo with a black leather wrap and the Troy Downey is a purpleheart 4 point ebony with black leather wrap.

I think one thing to keep in mind here is that the people on this forum aren't normal :) OK, not your typical league pool player. If you asked what was the most common cue used in our pool room, the answer would be Predator hands down. Not even a close battle. However, only a couple of people from my area are on this forum. I would say 80% of the top guys around here have a Predator or a Predator shaft... what does that mean? not a clue.

cues

I have STEVE LOMAX custom cues and a player of 50yr i must say have not hit a better cue!!!! STICK :D :D :D :D

shooting cue: Joss with predator Z2 shaft
break cue: Joss

Both of them are fairly nondescript nor flashy and I like that. I don't mind the 5/16-14 joints either.

I may move up to a uniloc predator someday, but I'm happy with what I have now. I'm no collector, and would rather have a cue to play with that won't break me if it gets stolen/broken.
