What kind of pool table is this and would you jump on it for $1,500?

Alright, the start of the rebuild, first was bracing up the frame, and building new brackets to mount the frame to the pedestals with threaded bolts instead of lag bolts

Had to brace the inside corners of the frame as well

And now my favorite part of the job, the finishing touch, the cloth installation, and trust me when I say I'd challenge any pool table mechanic in the world to install cloth better than I do, notice the lack of any stretch shadows in the bed cloth so don't believe anyone when they say Simonis cloth can't be installed without shadows and I stretched it 1 3/.4" side to side

That sure looks like a Cobrastein table now.
Let me know when you head south.
I'll live in my car for a week to see that kind of work.

Yup,

Because I know you wouldn't leave until the thing was perfect, even if it took you to within an hour of Christmas morning.

If you were bringing it, rebuilding it and setting it up? All for 3k?

Kind of a silly question really.

JC

That would all depend on what's cooking for Christmas dinner:grin:

Are those real Diamond rail skirts? I've never seen a Diamond with those big white diamonds going down the side. The stain on the base is partly what got me. It doesn't quite match and the shape of the legs looks...wrong to me.

Looks like cheap plywood ,, not sure if that's diamond wood either ,

I think when it comes to basic pool covering there are lots of guys that do a good job ,, very few I think are in your league when it gets past that , you are very talented

No, they're original Diamond rails and skirts, it's just that the rails were custom ordered with the Diamond inlays in the long skirts, which are solid Oak, and yes the rails have the Dymondwood rosewood finish on them.

Aloha

Another great job! This one is for you. Nothing better then watching Pocket Billiard Porn (PBP) for short.

Aloha

Too bad you let the cat out of the bag before you asked the question.

I know, because I'd have hooked just about everyone on AZ, but there are some that are smart enough to check things out first before they jump, but they're also the ones that would try and fix the problems first after discovering them rather than hiring someone to fix the problems for them....the DIY'ers, which kind of makes me think of who ever assembled this table together in the first place....a DIY'er.
