I just bought a new set of Brunswick Centennials and have been using the cue ball that came with the set and also a Knockoff Super Pro measles Red dot.
What I want to know is tgere a better option I should be using to save some burn on my new 860HR cloth or even for looks and spin functionality to see during practice?
There is the Black dotted Mealses, new Arcos 2 with Arrows, Aramith Blue Logo, Aramith Red Circle, etc..etc.

The ball that comes with the Tournaments is Duramith so it might show fewer burn marks. there's no way of really not getting them. just the way it is. they all play the same.

Get the black dot measles ball, if you can find any, from Aramith.
I spent quite a while searching for a single one recently to no avail. A distributor near me in Raleigh could not even order one for me. Love to know what the issue is, if any, with that... Maybe there is a boatload of em offshore somewhere...lol

I guess the Arcos 2 cueball is same look as black measles but with triangles

Here is my month old aramith tournament ball.
Used about 7-10 hours since last cleaning.
I am currently experimenting with the phenolic tip to see if it develops cracks like older aramiths did...then I can get the black measles one.
(Hopefully in stock at the experiment's end)

I would say the Red Circle Aramith is a very good cue ball for the money, but the Aramith Pro Cup Measle cue ball (nearly twice the price) appears to be the cue ball of choice among serious players.

If you are worried about burn marks on your home table from breaking, use the joker from a deck of cards under the cue ball when you break. (Or any other card of course) I have the Arcos II and the Tournament Black. I really like both and can not tell a difference. Neither leaves a break burn. My Centennial Cue Ball definitely does. All three are less than 2 years old so they are latest model.

Yes my Centennial cue leaves burn marks that's why I started this. I was trying to see which ball to get that will cut down burns even if it's 25% less just to save on the new 860HR cloth. I think I'm going to just use a piece of extra cloth for breaking as well but love the look of the Black measles and the Arcos with arrows

The Black measel is Duramith and the Arcos are SAPro so the Black will probably leave less marks(not by much tho) due to it being harder.
