What pool accessories you would never buy again

I was cleaning out my cue case last night for it semi annual reorganizing and found I had about six items I purchase, or was given, and never used after maybe one or two times.

Four of the items were handy dandy chalk holdesr that for the most part fell off my pocket, had week magnets, and just were not as good a putting my chalk in my watch pocket.

The other were a scotch bright pad give by a friend that I never used for shaft burnishing, and the last was some sort of magic polish cloth that was not magic.

Anyone else got their favorite accessories that they would never purchase again.

personally...Ultimate Tip Tool,,,never use one again !

,,,but I like to sell them, 'cause people twist their tips off and get to replace their cue tips.....lol

The Sardo rack, I didnt buy it, was given to me as an Xmas present. It didnt fit into my bag, but i'm thinking neither did PROG8R's Ex-wife.. maybe that why she's an EX....... All in fun PROG8R :D

I won a gift certificate from Pool Dawg and bought one of those bridge wheelie things you attach to your cue ! well I did not realize it is designed for 13mm shafts only ! on my shafts which go from 12.75 and down it was so far up the shaft that it was useless!

I like my Ulitmate Tip Tool, but I like it for one specific reason: It is great at fixing mushroomed tips in my opinion.

As for pool accessories I won't buy again, I would have to say my chalk box. I loved it at first because it kept the chalky mess off my hands and table, but it's an ineffective way of chalking your tip as you are not allowed the range of motion to drag the chalk across your tip. The chalk box only allows you to "screw" your tip into the chalk, which takes chalk off just as quickly as it puts it on, and it renders your chalk useless about half way through due to the hole it drills right in the center all the way down to the paper. Ugh, I'm done venting now.

 Hell! I forgot about that one !

Porper mushroom grazer

I'm a gadget guy when it comes to my cues, so I try all kinds of stuff. I wouldn't buy a Porper Mushroom Grazer again. It gouged my ferrule (maybe I was using it wrong, I don't know) . Then there are the things I'll never get rid of: Willards tapper, Master Chalk w/ magnetic holder, tip-pik, Q-wiz and Porper tip burnisher.:D

One I'll keep is the pocket chalker. Bar table chalk in these parts is the same as no chalk...

I spent enough on useless shapers, chalk holders, glass dent remover, and cue holders.

Now I just lay the chalk on the table, pick it up, chalk the cue and lay it down. Always know where it is, and it don't wear out my pocket.

Wipe my cue off with a damp paper towel that I used to dry my hands with.

Use a napkin to burnish the cue.

Have a case that I now use to hold the cues instead of laying them in a holder.

I use a hard tip so it doesn't mushroom and it holds it's shape.

Save your money and keep it simple.

Chalk holders (about 6 of them around here), Cue Reach, Cue extension, several types of stuff to make the Cue shaft slick, tip shapers. I had to try every dammed thing and now it sits in the drawer.

Cuetec cue, i bought a jump/break once and it's the worst cue i ever tried.

chalk holders... isn't that what the wife is for?

cheers

I wish I would never have bought a whole bunch of cheap cues and cases before I just went out and bought a custom and a nice case.

Now i have 4 cases and 6 cues
