Tomorrow morning I'm going to begin my journey across the US via I-80 to the west coast. I need to know what rooms I should stop and play at. Not looking to stop at any rooms where I'll be fearing for my life or that require me to veer off course too much. Just looking for a list of the nicer/larger rooms. Definitely gonna stop at Big Dog Billiards in Des Moines, looks like a really nice room!

I can't remember the exact location but I believe that there are some good rooms near Toledo where I-80 passes near there. Sorry for the lack of details, its been a while since I was there, but maybe someone can fill in.

Pro tyme billiards in Orland Park Il would be great. about three miles north of I-80. get off at rt 45 good handicapped tourny on thursday nights. pm me if you need better directions.

Pool Rooms In Toledo

The pool rooms in Toledo are kind of a drive off I-80. I'm not sure how far you want to go from the Interstate, there is however a decent place right off the interstate in Milan/Sandusky OH.

Directions

Good stuff so far guys... If anybody doesn't mind sending me a PM for some directions to these rooms off of I-80W I would appreciate it greatly.

When you reach the EAST mixmaster (I-80 and I-35 meet), turn south on I-35, (called I-235 as it goes across town) and go only about one mile and take that exit (Euclid Ave). When you're stopped at the end of the exit ramp, turn right and immediately look to the right....there's Big Dogs. It's hard to miss (the pool hall, not the balls :D )

RED SHOE BILLIARDS
12009 S. Pulaski Rd ALSIP, ILLINOIS 60658
Telephone (708) 388-3700
is probably ten-fifteen minutes off I-80. Take 294 north to 127th street exit east to pulaski and north 7 blocks.

Banks, One Pocket and Straight Pool are featured there. Piggy Banks hangs out there, Ike Runnels spends time there. Freddy the Beard Bentivegna is there often. George Fels shoots in a 14.1 league there. Owners John Lavin and John Zaksis.

If you like $........

When you get out to the bay area, try the Broken Rack in Emeryville. Tournaments Tuesday and I think Wednesday is starting up soon. Lots of 1 pocket action, 3C, 8-ball and 9-ball. Some guys are starting to play 14-1 there too. Good daytime action and half-price table time until 3 p.m.

Take the emeryville exit, go under the freeway, turn left and follow around until you get to the movie theaters, turn into the parking lot on your right. The pool room is between the two buildings straight ahead of you. The food court has good ethnic food from every part of the globe, no franchises.

Are you moving or just a trip?

Cheers,
Regas

As you will be heading WEST, in Omaha Nebraska stop at the Sapp Brother Truck Stop with the Tea Pot on the Sign. GREAT Hamburgers... Also got to stop at Cabbala's in Sydney Nebraska.... Ultimate adult Toy Store.... ;)

The Ritz Classic in Salt Lake. It's kind of a dumpy room with not very much action but that is about all we've got other than EO's which is out of the way and redneck as hell.

Pro Tyme Billiards Orland Park, IL

I'm going to stop at Pro Tyme around 1 or 2pm tomorrow. (Wednesday) Anybody that is up for some sets of nine-ball stop in then. :D

OK if you are gonna stop in Toledo Davey K's is the place to go yes Glass City has more "players" but Davey's is nicer, cleaner, has a full bar and if you want to follow VAGABOND's suggestion we at Davey K's do special events on occasion with Deja Vu so I can probably sneak ya a free pass!! Just ask for me.

I stopped at Glass City Billiards a few years ago. Nice little room. Met some people; played some cheap games.

But the kind people asked where I parked. When I said on the side of the building, they advised me to move the car across the street, where I could see it from the building...

E & A Billiards is just a 1/4 mile north of the turnpike.
Get off the Milan/Sandusky /Cedar point exit.
On the left you will see the NorthCoast Marketplace.
They're in the Center Court follow signs or park around the back you will see alot of cars and it is marked on the door.
