What size holes are in table light parabolic louvers? (Squares)

I think 20K Lumens is optimal for pool but you may have good results with 17,600.

I've got 2 BMX Cruisers: 26" Race Inc and a 26" True Torch JMC Tribute.

Wow Wow Wow to both of those!!!

That describes lenses - are there lenses in the things being discussed?
...
Usually "lense" or "lens" refers to a transparent device that focuses light by refraction, like eyeglasses. The things discussed in the link are actually reflectors which direct light by reflection from their surfaces, but the page refers to them as lenses. Calling the reflectors "lenses" seems to be common for those light diffusers.

A parabolic shape is commonly used for reflectors. It can turn a point source into a beam. Car headlights have reflectors that are roughly parabolic. Run the other direction, a parabolic reflector can focus light from a distant single source to a point, as in a telescope.

Thanks, Bob... got it now.

Just some information if cost matters. I built my light for about $180. Probably about $200 or so if you had to buy wood, but I've got a ton of wood laying around from when I had a sawmill.

I can imagine if you built yours couple years ago it was that price but I wonder if it be the same today. I went and had an ordered 5/8 in parabolic louvers with four 2x2 LED panels equaling 17,600 lumens with adjustable brightness and kelvin. The absolute cheapest I could get it down to is around 260 and that's with me supplying my own wood. I'd still have to buy a dimmer if I feel it's necessary but I assume it won't be with the parabolics

I used these. They have 5/8" openings. I'm not sure why they only show a 5 pack as I was able to just buy two.

FWIW, I tried the parabolic louvers and while they focused the light directly on the table, the brightness was not substantial enough for my to justify the added expense so I returned them.
The ones you use look like the ones
In my Diamond light

Ya it was about 4 yrs ago, just looked at current price, the lights are about the same but the panels are a touch more.
- 3 2x2 programable panels $45 ea after 11% rebate Menards $135
- 2 2x4 egg crate $17.50 ea after 11% Menards $35
- Spray paint Menards $8
- chain to hang Menards $10 So about $190 plus tax and wood
about $225- $250

Yeah that's not bad at all. Big cost going with a parabolics versus the egg crate

Glad to see you are using the diffusers.

I was at a room this week that had the Perimeter lights over most of the tables, while a couple of the tables still had the single 2x4 LED Litman panel in the middle. It had the diffusing grate over it. I was very comfortable walking around the room looking in the direction of the grate light. You could not see a peep of light from the side. The Perimeter lights were the opposite, quite uncomfortable simply walking around.

Looking at the table beds side by side, there was hardly any difference in brightness on the playing surface.

We went backwards taking that grate away.

diffuser doesn't need to be exp/hi-tech. it just spreads out the light across the table. crates work fine.
I definitely found the cheapest 5/8 online at $130 for the 2. Egg crates do work but parabolic seems to work better for keeping the light concentrated on the table and not the wall plus from the post Rexus31 posted, it appears to me the glare is better with parabolic. I think thats why Diamond and Littman use them. Here is Rexus31s table with both

In my defense, I had the standard diffusers on upside down in that pic. They are flipped now and do not glare.
