If money was NO object, and you could spend a week in PRIVATE LESSONS 1 on 1 with (3) Great Pool Players. One Week with EACH Player.

Who would you choose to learn from, and why.

I have my (3) Choices, but will be silent for a while. :)

I have my 93) Choice, but will be silent for a while. :)

Mike Massey, Jim Rempe and Buddy Hall.

George

Jim Rempe
Mike Zuglan
Ralf Souquet

All 3 are great players and great people. If I'm spending my money it would be with people that I would enjoy their company.

Koop

Irving Crane. I love his thought process!

Leonard Rucker "Chicago Bugs" He is the "THE MAN" of banking.

Allison Fisher She is a machine...!!! How she can controll the pressure and deliver ..WOW!!

I left Efrin off my list. I love this guy, but it is my guess that he is such a feel player that I doubt I could learn what he is doing. That said the same might be true for Bugs. It would shure be fun!

DEAD:

Irving Crane
Harold Worst
Willie Mosconi

ALIVE (TEACHERS):

Mark Wilson
Jerry Briesath
Allison Fisher (yes)

ALIVE (PLAYERS):

George Breedlove
Danny DiLiberto
Grady Mathews

Harold Worst had great all-around skills and uncommon intelligence; ditto for Mosconi and Crane. I pick Crane for his SJM-like dedication to defense.

A leading professional continues to recommend Allison Fisher as an excellent instructor, despite being an arch-rival. Mark W. and Jerry B. have impeccable reputations and skills.

Forget about the younger active players; I want lessons from the tested road warriors (with communication skills so I didn't list Efren).

Nice Groups of Choices.

Players

Of the Past:
Crane
Mosconi
Lassister

Now:
Thomas Engert
Earl Strickland
Johnny Archer

Deceased: 1. Luther Lassiter 2. Eddie Taylor 3. Harold Worst; Living: 1. Buddy Hall 2. Nick Varner 3. Ray Martin. These 6 have one thing in common: they all play all games at a champion's level and can impart some pretty good hustling lessons along with the technical stuff (plus great road stories!).
