> I started out using LePro's,then switched to Comprime, which is just a tad harder than the Chandivert Rocky. I used these on my Schon for a couple years, and when my supply dried up I started repressing Triangles and cutting them down. I used these for 2 years then bought 2 new Schon shafts, and fell in love with their in-house repressed WB. I had really good luck with the original Moori MX,when they first came out there were 5 grades, this was the hardest. I had two of these put on at the 1994 U.S. Open and they lasted 3 years each. By then they were practically impossible to find,so I went back to the repressed Triangle, then sent my shafts back to Schon for their tips. I have had little success with other layered tips, mainly due to my inexperience installing them. The ones I really do like are the Talisman UH (yes they make an ultra hard,or at least they did.) and a XH I got as a sample from Tony, which didn't have any marking on it as far as the glue side, and I might have actually installed it upside down,it was HARD. For the last 3 years, and probably forever,I have used a WB,usually in the Sumo brand, although there isn't much difference. I smash them dead flat in a vice, until the sides bulge, then cut it down about halfway. They almost never mushroom,or change shape, other than adjusting themselves to the way I hit the ball, ala Deno.
